Awesome!,

This product came in an awesome looking package. I opened it, and the wallet itself looks awesome! Water-proof, very very tough, but it feels exactly like folded paper. And that's the reason why I gave it 4 stars, is because sometimes I'm afraid I might rip it even when it's strong. I like how thin it is, and how it has so many pockets because sitting on a big thick wallet screws with your posture. I really like this product. Thumbsup!Update: My cards fall out of my wallet as I pull it out. :| And the longer you keep it in your pants (the wallet, that is), the more it will start to unfold and become looser. It's still a neat product, but I'm just really paranoid that my cards might get lost.

Cute and Slim, but...,

The idea of it is great, it's "green," sturdy, has many pockets, but the cards tend to slip out. And because there's a fold inside the two inner pockets, if you put more than one card in there, it's a hard to put back in.

The psychology behind a wallet that doesn't look like a wallet,

Just got mine.Looks cool, but I'm slightly worried: because it doesn't ~look~ like a standard wallet at first glance, I'm worried it might end up lost in a pile of papers on a desk, or get knocked in the trash, or just generally not get the elevated treatment a standard wallet would receive. "Hey, have you seen a wallet around here?" "No." (I'll update this review in a couple months, after I actually use it for a bit.) Update (6.26.2011) --------------------- It's nice and thin, so sitting on a lump is never a problem. However, EVERY time I use the wallet (taking out cash or a credit car) I find myself having to reseat the cards inside. They are in constant danger of slipping out. The lack of storage slots (there are four, but only a fool would use the outer two card-spitting ejector-slots) is another problem, forcing the user to stack cards. (Though the stacking somewhat tightens the wallet's grip on the cards.) This is something I use everyday and really don't like at all, and I regret having kept it. (I'm shopping for a new one today.)

This wallet is great. it takes up less space than my leather wallet. It fits all my credit cards nicely in a pocket that doesn't let them fall out when the wallet is closed. It's also softer than a leather wallet so it doesn't feel as heavy or as bulky or as "there" as a leather wallet. Love it! not sure how it would hold up in a professional setting though...It definitely is neat and gets comments from people!

Adorable & durable,

What a great novelty item. Very durable, thin, spacious compartments for cash, receipts, notes, etc. Two card slots inside (doesn't hold ALL of my cards, but it holds the important ones - credit card, bank card, ID card, Metrocard, etc). I wouldn't use the outside pockets for anything important as things slide out from there too easily unless you secure them with something like tape or a paperclip. This wallet looks just like a folded map...sometimes I worry that I'll lose it because it looks so authentic. The other Mighty Wallet themes are awesome too, there are many to choose from & it's hard to pick. It's a bit expensive for a plasticized paper wallet but the idea is unique. Fun wallet for traveling light. It's waterproof & doesn't bulge a pocket or purse the way regular bulky wallets do. The only thing it doesn't hold is coins.

I receive compliments about my Mightywallet every time I pull it out. I transferred the contents from my old wallet and the Mighty Wallet is half as thick.

I love this wallet. Its 50% smaller than my leather Dockers wallet when transferred everything over. Its small, smooth, easy to use and has all the pockets in the right places. I love the looks I get everything I pull it out to pay for a purchase!

It's three in the morning. You're at a floating poker game a bellhop at the Hilton tipped you off to. An hour and a half in, up by two hundred dollars, not to mention the half a G you brought with you. The pot's getting bigger and you're aiming for a straight flush, getting pretty close in fact. You turn in a card and lift the corner of your replacement to find, Oh Yes, an ace. It's time to call. In fact, it's time........For the idiots equipped with ski masks and snub-noses to burst in and tell everyone to empty their pockets on the table. Five minutes later they've gone with the money, and everyones' wallets, watches, and jewelry. Curses fill the room. That's when you reach down to the table and pick up your rental car keys, phone, and an old letter that you threw down when the gunmen arrived. You open up the letter and more curses fill the room as the other players see that it is, in fact, a wallet that still contains your, ID, credit cards, and the five hundred you brought in with you. You walk out of the room almost feeling sorry for the other players, wondering if that bellhop back at the Hilton was in on the bust... Yeah, I love my Dynomighty wallet. It's sleek, stylish, and oh, so sexy. How many times have you been making a purchase and the clerk behind the counter compliments you on your Milanese calfskin trifold? Never, that's how. But with this bad boy I always get compliments. Be prepared for that unique social exercise in public trust; giving your wallet to a complete stranger that they might admire it up close. That bored, yet cute girl working at the record store? The cynical cop who pulled you over for expired tags? The aloof bartender at some trendy watering hole? Oh, the conversations this thing will start. It breaks more ice than a Russian fishing trawler. When I bought mine, the first thing I did was glue an old stamp onto the front right corner, forge the postmark with a ball-point pen, and then finally write my name and address on the front. It looks incredibly real, and now that it has acquired a faded patina, even more so. However, after a while a problem presented itself. Because the wallet is made out of plastic, it's slippery. When I opened it the contents would sometimes fly out, especially credit cards. A simple solution was to use small pieces of double-sided tape to keep the cards firmly inside and the side pockets from opening. Now I have absolutely no more hassles with this wonderful piece of design. I even bought the dot-matrix printer version as a gift for a friend who's into tech. He loves it. I cannot say enough nice things about this product. Now, you may say: "But I don't want the peasants behind the counter to get too familiar. I want them to continue in their daily drudgery without attempting to engage me in conversation which I am far too important to deal with." To which I reply Mr. Bush, it's that attitude that made us decide to replace you with a black guy...

I get a lot of compliments on this wallet when I pull it out of my pocket. It's different and eye-catching.It's made of a plasticized paper, so I am waiting to see how durable it is.

This review is from: Dynomighty Mighty Wallet- Star Trek Communicator (Toy)
I've seen these Dynomighty Wallets around and was always intrigued by them. Can a wallet made of paper really work that well?In a word: Yes. It's not made of ordinary paper, but a special kind called Tyvek that's resistant to tearing, stretching, and even moisture. (Think FedEx shipping bag - NOT the plastic kind.) This makes for a thin wallet that stretches in size, if you need to hold more cards or bills, without wearing it out. And there's plenty of room for cards and bills. Dynomighty then kicks it up a notch with the various prints on their wallets, making the Mighty Wallet an accessory you'll find yourself showing off to others. I still flip open the Star Trek Communicator version and making the noises from the original series before Kirk speaks some words of wisdom into his captain's log. The inside of the wallet even has an "exploded" view of the communicator if you were to tear one apart. My one complaint would be the smoothness of the paper sometimes doesn't have enough friction to keep cards or bills from falling out of the wallet if held at an odd angle. I keep as little in my wallet as possible, so it could just be an isolated incident. Regardless, when you have what you need out of your wallet, close it! Even if you're just waiting for your change, it'll keep this from happening. All in all, I love this wallet, and with the many different prints, you'll definitely find one that you love as well. And did I mention it's cheap?! |
