This review is from: U-Boat Operations of the Second World War, Vol. 2: Career Histories, U511-UIT25 (Hardcover)
Hard to believe that this book costs so little for the rich data that has been compiled. Not only is ther material for more research but I wouldnt be suprised if freelance writers pick up on some of the exploits. As a participant in the Battle of the Atlantic I thought that as a radio operator on freighters that I knew what the situation was . Never could anyone guess the depth of the effort on both sides to achieve their goals. The two volumes are just par excellence . Again ,years of research must have gone into these volumes.I already have started to research one incident listed with the hopes of publishing same!!! |
