4.0 out of 5 stars It Works!
My first thought when I read up on the Emson U-Comfy Massager was okay here is another overpriced, late night tv promo/gimmick. That is until my senior citizen neighbors convinced me to give theirs a test drive. Simultaneously my ankles, calves and feet were being massaged and it felt amazing. My skepticism melted away in about 10 minutes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Massages Are So Personal, January 9, 2010

Massages, whether by humans or machines are so personal. You like it or you don't. Let me try to help you decide whether to spend $300 on this machine.

It depends on whether you like hard massages or soft ones, and how big your feet are.

If you like walking on marbles which stimulate the pressure points on the soles of your feet, you might like this unit. If you don't like sharp pressure points and prefer to have gentler kneading by a trained masseuse, you will not.

If you have small feet, you might enjoy the squeezing of the unit on your feet and calfs. If you have large feet or wide feet (like me, size 13) the pressure is excrutiating, not relaxing at all.

There are only 3 adjustments for vibration and kneading on the unit and you cannot adjutst the amplitude of the kneading so if you have a narrow foot or calfs, the rollers might be gentle enough. With a wide foot, or if you have calf muscles like Marion Barber of the Cowboys (I live in Dallas) you will feel like your life is being squeezed out of them.

The design is way too limiting. A much better design would be to have infinitely variable intensities so you can tailor the massage the way YOU like, not the way the machine likes.

The combination of vibration and kneading with the pressure points of my feet being massaged simultaneously by these strategically placed raised nodes, was simply an incredible feeling. Never in a million years would I have ever believed that a machine could duplicate this same process if not better then an actual masseuse. Needless to say, I own one now.

This little powerhouse is packed with 3 speeds and 3 intensity settings. The standard built in timer, and an adjustable tilt feature are a nice addition. Weighing in at about 16 pounds it is quite portable. Without a doubt, this somewhat pricey gizmo works.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable Foot Massager, November 12, 2008
This review is from: U-Comfy Leg, Foot, Calf, and Ankle Massager (Squeeze and Vibration) (Sports)
being that i am an athlete my ankles and calves get sore because of running and weight lifting, this massager was the best. the kneading provided such a relief for the pain. The Ucomfy massager was better than other because it comes all the way up on my calves, because of this the massaging sensation is felt through out.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, broke down within 3 monthes, July 24, 2010

We purchased this item in April,2010. It worked fine in the beginning even though we didn't find the product really that useful. So, we only occasionally use it. Say, once or twice in a week for very short time. Three month after we purchased the item, it just stop working one day. We called Amazon and was told to contact the customer service at Ucomfy. We are still trying to get in touch with Ucomfy at this point. But, we are very disappointed with this product. For more than $200, we expect a more reliable product.

We definitely will not purchase any products from Ucomfy in the future and will suggest other customers to avoid their products.

5.0 out of 5 stars My legs feel like new!, November 29, 2008

Wow, this massager is AMAZING. Your legs will feel very different after 10 minutes using it. It is very simple to use, only 3 buttons. It is a little heavy though and if you use it on a low couch, it might be a bit unconfortable. However, it does have a metal bar that sticks out to angle it towards you and makes it easier and more confortable to use. I strongly recommend this product. I don't regret buying it at all. My mother tends to retain liquid and her legs are usually swollen and she loves it. My dad is getting old and complain of leg pain and he tried it and said he felt as if he is walking on a cloud! My husband and I use it every day since the day we got it, we are hooked!!!

good bang for the buck if you amortize daily over even two months. problem is, mine only lasted two months. ive been dragging my feet with getting a refund since im sure shipping this beast back would be costly.

Tis was purchased as a Christmas Gift for my wife. When she first put her feet into it she was in heaven. A few minutes later she was saying she didn't want it because it didn't reach her calves enough.

If you're looking for really good massage for calves this will not cut it, it does a great job on the feet though.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke down in two months!, April 10, 2009
This review is from: U-Comfy Leg, Foot, Calf, and Ankle Massager (Squeeze and Vibration) (Sports)
The foot and ankle massager broke down in 2 months (used it 2-3 times a week). It kind of slowed down a bit over the last 2 days and completely stopped working yesterday. The scary part is that it was fully squeezed when it stopped working and I had to force my feet out. Thank god I have small feet, or else I would have called 911 for help! I will call U-Comfy on Monday to return the product and let you all know about my customer service experience.
