The Pre-WWII Carriers - CV1 to CV8,
By Philip M. Lindquist (Dallas, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: U.S. Aircraft Carriers in action, Part 1 - Warships No. 5 (Paperback)
This is a detailed history of the 8 pre-WWII carriers, published by squadron/signal publications. It is a great value, full of black and white pictures and a detailed narrative of these first American carriers. It contains a few minor typos, but is quite reliable as a source of information on the carriers that started it all, and the reasons why.
