I thought that since it was from 1969 that it would have interesting historical information pertaining to the Vietnam War, but it turns out to be a book of cartoonish looking drawings and descriptions of contraptions that a grunt in a tough spot or a downed pilot would never be able to assemble, because the necessary tools would all be back at base camp. How to make a wooden shotgun is almost funny it's so stupid. Some of the drawings look like coloring book drawings. Anyway, my mistake for ordering it. I thought it would have historical instances of genuine "improvised" McGuiver-like gizmos, or at least something that a civilian could concoct during a SHTF scenario. Nope, not unless you're military and have access to all the stuff needed to do your improvising. Same thing with the booby trap book. It was a 1965 book and again, I thought I'd see all the dirty little tricks used by the Cong against U.S. troops, and vice versa. Again, it wasn't historically interesting, it was a book for riggers who had access to military equipment. Again, my mistake for ordering, I guess. I'm giving 2 stars just because of the poor quality photocopied book cover and cartoonish drawings. I wouldn't recommend either book to anyone interested in the goings on during the Vietnam War, or anything else military from 1965 to 1969. Sorry.

This book is much more about explosives than anything else. I expected to learn more of projectiles, the definition of munitions in my head was obviously skewed . The book assumes a working knowledge of explosives. As a person who thirsts for knowledge of all kinds of things, one who is in constant want to be acknowledged as a polymath, I gladly accept this book into my collection of texts.
I of course will never be trying any of these projects myself as I value my life, not to mention the current state of hysteria created by our media, the government, and problems across the world. I do not doubt that in purchasing this volume my name has went down on some list (you know what I mean).

Cons: poorly printed, on frail material

Still a handy book for any doomsday prepper or anarchist to own, but this version is not the origin manual made by the army. This version while it includes the extra instructions released in later additions to the original book, this one is missing strategic pages. This was not like pages fell out but in one instance pages 16&18 are back to back, page 17 was intentionally omitted. The list of omitted pages are 17, 58, 59, 60, 81, 91, 94, 101, 102, 103, &143
