The silicone mask is a good thing since silicone is much softer than the plastic used in inexpensive masks--it's more comfortable and forms a better seal. I also purchased a snorkeling set with fins that had a non-silicone (plastic) mask and that mask doesn't seal properly. Spend a few more dollars for this set (and purchase fins separately if desired)--it's worth the additional dollars.

Before I ordered this set I had ordered and returned a Mask & snorkle that cost twice what this set cost me. These items were better designed, better quality than the Italian ones that I had returned. Both work fine and I would recommend them to anyone.

Bought snorkel set for the family for a cruise. The set I bought my daughter was supposed to be a dry snorkel, but wasn't. I had purchased this snorkel for myself and it worked well, so bought it for my daughter too. The pivot works well to protect the snorkel from filling up with water and the mask stays tight.

I'm no snorkeling expert, but I bought this to take on random trips and save the time/money on renting crappy snorkel equipment. The mask fogged a bit when I didn't use an anti-fog glycerin but was great with it. The snorkel stayed almost totally dry due to its auto-close valve on the top. The auto-close valve got me a couple times when I was up for air and trying to breathe, but it sure beats having to purge every minute.

Glad I bought it, would recommend.

Very nice, well made, best quality mask and snorkel I've ever used. Very happy with the purchase. These seem like "professional" quality.

I'll admit. I bought this for my girlfriend because she's not a diver, needed a snorkel to use, and cause it was cheap. The mask is average. It lacks most diving masks side windows to increase visibility, and fogged pretty easily. Like I said. Average. The snorkel, however, is worth the whole cost of this. It is amazing, has a great mouthpiece, and there's something about the rotating top cover on the air hole that really keeps water out. I'm throwing out my expensive dive shop snorkel for this guy.

I have tried the mask and snorkle in our pool and it works great. Seals around my face and has minimal water in the snorkle after going under. I plan to use the mask on a Carribean trip this winter and feel it is a great buy.

Worked perfectly as far as snorkeling goes.
Carry on bag got searched twice for weapons,due to the shape of the tubes.
