5.0 out of 5 stars Great Snorkeling Fins
I used these fins to go snorkeling in Hawaii and my feet never cramped up and never hurt from these fins. Dive boots are not needed. These fins are a great workout for your legs as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars split fin not for me...
I do a lot of snorkeling... I gave these fins a good try but just couldn't get the thrust I get from my old stiff U.S. Diver fins.

5.0 out of 5 stars swim fins, March 8, 2007
I use the fins every day to swim laps at our local pool, and in one month have seen a big change in the tone of my legs. I really like the open heel on the fins and would buy this product again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a vacation once a year, February 19, 2009
By

We got these fins for my wife before our three week trip to the Caribean. During our vacation we snorkeled or scuba dived every day. These fins held up fine for both activities. They are very flexible and short in length, good for manuvering around in small areas, i.e. near a boat with lots of people. Obviously, larger fins are much better for long distances, i.e. large coves. Easiest way to think about these fins is compared to a bike gears. These fins are good if your kick style is fast, like Lance Armstrong going up a hill. Large fins are better for long, flat streches and strong leg muscles.

The selling point for these fins is that they are cheap. If they get stolen off the beach or lost during a flight, we really didn't care. In fact, we thought about just leaving them at the hotel rather than lugging them back home. Ideal for kids under 16.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable, July 14, 2007
I found these fins very comfortable for snorkeling. They fit well even without diving boots. They are actually better without them, as they tend to be a little tight if you wear boots.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value fins, May 10, 2009

This is my second set of fins. I previously had stiff inexpensive fins. These have a nice fabric backstrap. I think they are fairly comfortable. I think they are easier to maneuver with than my cheap non-split fins. Perfect for snorkeling. If you are looking for more thrust, you may look elsewhere, but I find I can sit in the water a lot longer without cramping with these fins.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfort, Comfy, Conforming to my big feet, June 30, 2011
This review is from: U.S. Divers Hydrosplit Fin (Sports)
Had to get new fins, post hip replacement, for this stay in Oahu. Post-surgery inflexibility dictates easy-on, easy-off: got two pairs, shorty surf fins for the pool, US Divers Hydrosplits for snorkeling.
But darn surf fins bite my instep, cut deeply. Will not use the shorties again.
Now it's the Hydrosplits for snorkeling and for daily laps in the pool. They're like our memory foam mattress at home: conforming to the foot, comfortable, so comfy. And way efficient enough for this ol' skin diver. Even look cool.
The Hydrosplits are coming home with me: they're starting to get me in lifeguard shape again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy feel - a light weight fin, July 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: U.S. Divers Hydrosplit Fin (Sports)
I've been scuba diving and snorkeling for 30 years. I had tried a Scubapro split fin and loved them and came across these online and thought well this looks good.
Well I was disappointed as I did not get much thrusting power from this fin. In fact it just felt flimsy and was a lightweight in the fin department. If I had been able to eyeball this in a store first, I would not have bought it.
It may be great for a teenager or smaller person, but not foe a serious swimmer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Fin For the Money, July 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Bought these for a trip to the carribean. They worked out well and are good quality for the money. I wore them without booties and they were not too bad on the feet. Easy to get on and off even when fully suited.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK fin, August 21, 2007
This review is from: U.S. Divers Hydrosplit Fin (Sports)
The strap is no good compared to a boot fit fin and can become irritating. they only allow a certain level of thrust before you are just waisting energy (not made for hard thrusts or fast swimming). OK for training fins or minimal usage. The best fitting fins are the ones without straps, just get 1 size smaller that land shoes so they fit snug and don't chafe yout heels.
