The mask fits well, the fins are great, the snorkel works well and it's easy to get any water out of it.

I purchased two of these snorkel sets for a long-planned trip to Maui over New Year's. Unfortunately, the first time I used one of the masks, a plastic pin that holds the strap to the mask broke. The pin flew into the ocean, and the mask was useless. I thought it was just a fluke and proceeded to share the other mask. On the third use of the other mask, the same thing happened. We were left without a mask which definitely impacted our snorkeling! To say the least, I wouldn't recommend this product.

I just got back from a trip to Bonaire, and ordered this before I left. It worked well. The fins and snorkel are great. The mask works fine, very clear and no fog. It has a smaller field of view than more expensive masks, and the rubber is harder than black silicone, but for the price, this kit can't be beat.

If you only snorkel once or twice a year, like I do, than this is what you need. If you snorkel twice a week, than you will want to spend more on a good mask, like a Tusa or Seaview.

Cons: The ribbed goggle snaps didn't hold in place on one side after 2-3 uses. If you have a small head, it could be an issue as a tight fit is needed for snorkling.

Pros: For the price, this is a good set. The flippers are large and truely help in ocean swimming. The snorkle design helps keep splashes from getting into the breathing tube.

I purchased 4 sets of this U.S. Divers Cozumel Seabreeze Dry Proflex II Mask, Fins and Snorkel Set to take to Grand Cayman Island. We used them daily in the ocean and they worked just as well as my Brother in laws $300.00 set he took down that he purchased from a dive shop!!! The masks fit snugly and allow no water during many hours of snorkelling. The snorkel works very well also with the special top and bottom. We never sucked in sea water. I highly recommend this set!!!!! The fins were very comfortable also. never slipped off even in big waves!! You won't be disappointed.

I was a bit concerned about how good the quality of this set would be, given that it's just $24.95 vs. at least $50 or much more for other sets. However, I had a great time using it on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands last week. I used it four days in a row and did well as a first-time snorkeler. I had to use vaseline on my mustache to make a good seal at the bottom part of the mask, but I think that would be true with any mask. The fins seem to be made of a fairly stiff plastic and are a bit long - my friends' fins were shorter and more rubbery and flexible. But this is a minor quibble since you're only snorkeling 15-30 minutes at a time and the fins work well enough. And the snorkel was fine. All in all, an excellent value at this price for a beginning snorkeler. By the way, I saw gorgeous coral, fish, a sea turtle and three sting rays at Cinnamon Bay, Waterlemon Bay and Hanson Bay. It was like being inside an aquarium.

I purchased this set for a trip to Samoa - the guidebook I read mentioned that rental of snorkeling gear in-country was a pretty hit-or-miss proposition, and really, who wants to spend a couple hours chomping a mouthpiece that an unknown number of other people have used?

So, I checked a local big-box sporting goods retailer, and couldn't find a snorkeling set for under $100 (I live in the Midwest though, so may have fewer options than someone on a southern coast). Then I checked amazon.com, and found the same set for thirty bucks...

As for actual use of the set, it was great. The mask was easy to put on and adjust, and formed a nice, tight seal even over my bit of facial hair stubble. I didn't get any water in my mouth through the snorkel. The dry tip and the purge valve combination kept the waves out even through moderate swells, and didn't restrict air flow. The fins slipped on and off real easy, and stayed securely in place during use - I was expecting to have to give up one or the other.

The only thing I would have liked would have been an anti-fog coating on the mask. After about 20 minutes or so, I would be fogged up enough that I'd need to find a shallow where I could stand up and take the mask off and rinse it. However, I can now go out and buy a little bottle of spray-on anti-fogging, and still be getting solid gear at a great price.

my boyfriend and i took these with us to bermuda. they're kind of big to lug around everywhere, but the rental charges are so high that it seemed like it was worth it to buy our own. these seem to be of pretty high quality and everything worked fine. my only complaint is that the clip that attaches the snorkel to the mask is pretty loose, so at one point the snorkel fell off and swam around in the ocean by itself. we ended up finding it, but that was kind of annoying. i think it would make more sense to have the snorkel permanently attached to the mask.

With grandchildren waiting in the surf, I went to put on the mask and the plastic pin that holds the strap to the mask BROKE!! So I can't review the mask or snorkel (I used an extra set), but the fins worked quite well. As for the mask, I could have gotten a better one at the 5&10. (By the way, my "old" mask--25+ years old--has yet to break EVER.)
