U.S. Divers pulls from its longtime diving heritage and expertise to produce the Purge snorkeling and diving boot, a must for water enthusiasts who want to keep their feet feeling fine while wearing fins. Each low-cut boot features a 3 mm neoprene upper and 5 mm inner sole, which are sturdy and comfortable enough to cushion the feet without feeling bulky. Users will also appreciate the vulcanized rubber sole, which includes a puncture-resistant layer and low-profile grip pads. And thanks to the rubber toe and heel cap, wearers will enjoy a little extra protection against a fin's coarsest surfaces. As a final bonus, the Purge lets users expel water at the heel with a simple push. Available in adult sizes 5 to 13, the black Purge low-cut diving boot carries a two-year limited warranty.

Looks great and fits well.

They worked great, The top of the toe is rubberized, but slide into my fins once I lubricated them with silicon spray.

These boots are in MEN'S sizes, so ladies order a smaller size!

I have 35 years experience as a scuba diver and bought these boots for skin and scuba diving in the Caribbean and Florida.

The sizing for this item is man's shoe size and much of the confusion in reviews I think is based on women buying this item in thier normal shoe size. I bought two different sizes, one pair for myself and one for my wife. My size, a man's size eight is a perfect fit. My wife has a size six woman's foot so I ordered a size 5 for her. I would've ordered a size four if it was available but it is not. The size five is still a little big but overall she is very pleased. I suggest women order this item two sizes smaller.

I had two concerns over the design. I am switching from the typical cold water diver boot to this and was worried whether it covered enough to protect from rubbing and abbrasion at two points. If the top last was too short, the top edge of the fin could rub on the top/front of the foot/ankle. Secondly, a previous review about the sewn on tab at the rear over the achilles' tendon worried me about abrasion from the fin strip. Neither is a concern. The boot extends high enough on the foot to protect it from the abrasion from the top of the fin and the rear tab and high back provide sufficient protection from abbrasion from the fin strip. The rear tab is very high and out of the way from where I typically wear my fin strips. The rear tab is not an issue for me.

For 35 years I've walked out of the ocean with a quart of water in each booty, and then hopped about, pulling the top of the booty from my leg to let the water drain out. I can't say that the purge is incredible but it does work. The boots drain.

THe sole is glued on and is robust enough to protect the soles and lower edge of the feet while walking over broken gravel/rocks etc. The sides of the shoe sole come up about half an inch.

I bought these for my trip to Bonaire since the boots I use in Monterey are heavier than I needed or wanted for warm water. They fit great (no size issues whatsoever) and the purge in the back was a nice feature and worked well.

The only problem that I had was the pull tab at the back chaffed my skin raw above my ankles. Granted, I used them for 3 to 4 dives per day over several days before this happened. In the end I folded the tab down behind the heel and held them down with my fin straps so I could give my scabs time to heal. I will be removing the tabs later this week so I can continue to use them for all of my warm water trips and pool work.

Long story short - great boots, but remove the ankle tabs (or replace them with a fabric loop that hangs down).

I have had these shoes before and liked them. That is why I searched for a company that sold them. They came quickly and look good

I bought these shoes in my regular size, they were really big. I started the return with Amazon and there is no option for wrong size. So they were going to charge me for return shipping and since I bought it on free shipping I was going to be charged part of that too. It wasn't worth returning them. The shoes seem like they're ok but get em a size smaller then you think you need.

These are somewhat comfortable and fit well (but they are men's sizes, so beware).

I plan to wear them to a theme park and other places my feet may get wet.

They are the best water shoes. The sole is rubber, not neoprene so they will do fine on rocks.

They are a bit warm.

I used the boots on a trip to Costa Rica. They were extremely comfortable and durable. In addition to using them with fins while diving, I also hiked several miles through the jungle and at another time a mile over volcanic rocks along the shore. They did not rub my foot in any area and did not slip on my foot. I had ordered a size smaller than normal and was glad for that. They still look like new. Great product.

Super buy, excellent comfort when climbing boat ladder with scuba. Inexpensive, good quality, easily removed and put on. 2nd pair that I owned gave the last pair to a dive master in the philippines.

Bought these to replace some beach waders I used that were worn out. Worked great with my US Divers Travel Fins on annual snorkel trip to St Johns. Before trip worried about fitting with my fins which were a medium but once in the warmth and water all worked out great. Well constructed and sized correctly.
