A great basic gear bag,

I got this gear bag and love it. It doesn't have a lot of the features you'll see in higher-priced bags; its really just a durable mesh duffle bag, but its great for someone who has a lot of gear they want to carry, and perfect for couples who just want to tote their fins, boots, masks, snorkels, and any other small gear like defog, gloves, knives, wrist compasses/computers, etc.

In preparation for a cruise stop in Aruba, I purchased this bag to carry the snorkel gear I'd purchased for the two of us. This would be our first attempt at snorkeling but in the interest of sanitation I didn't want to use rented gear.
The bag is very well made. It's sturdy and strong and had plenty of room for two masks, snorkels and two sets of fins with room to spare for towels etc. In addition to the handles, it has a shoulder strap that made it easy and comfortable to haul our gear around. The mesh sections allow any water to drain out and for air to flow through to dry things off. The bag looks nice too, so even if you have no idea what you're doing once you get in the water, you'll at least look like a pro on land when you're toting your gear around with this bag. I am very pleased with the performance of this bag and am sure in time I can add durability to it's list of attributes.

Just received bag and haven't yet put it to heavy duty use. Preliminary comments:
1) Construction seems sturdy enough. Easily holds fins (large), masks and snorkels for two. 2) No dry pocket despite statement in ad. As one reviewer put it - you get what you see in the ad picture. Someone really should correct the advertising however. Update: Just purchased another bag -- and it's not the U.S, Divers bag. Decided that the dry bag offered with Brand X was worth anther 10$.

We bought this back in Feb., 2007, more than 3 years ago. We used it whenever on vacation to carry snorkeling gear for the entire family or toys to the beach. It's large enough to hold snorkeling gear for 4 people - we could easily fit four U.S. Divers Cozumel Mask, Seabreeze Dry Snorkel, and Proflex II Fin Snorkeling Sets in it. It's also used by one of our kids, twice weekly, whenever he goes to the gym. Well, after three years of intense usage it looks today as good as it did more than 3 years ago and today's price is not one penny higher than what we paid then.
It's probably worth saying that this bag has no pockets whatsoever. It's designed for carrying 'things' that sometimes are wet and the mostly 'mesh' sides ensure that water, possibly sand, drain quickly. It's made of what is clearly a very good quality nylon, complemented by the rubbery plastic mesh seen in the picture. There is a big zipper, an adjustable shoulder strap and handles for hand-carrying that can be joined together with a Velcro and that's it. Like I said, three years later, everything works and the bag looks as good today as it did the day it was delivered. We are going to use it again this summer on our vacation.

This bag is roomy enough to hold 5 snorkel sets and 5 pairs of fins.
We used it as a carry on bag for all our equipment on the plane and on the beach. Simple and comfortable, no dry pocket though, as was mentioned in the description, so I gave this product four stars.

Good H/D bag, mine showed up as an all black Aqualung bag, pretty happy because the one pictured kind of looks lame. Big enough to carry my BCD, wetsuit, fins/snorkel/mask, and my regulator set up.
Comes with a shoulder strap as well.

Not as Advertised,

The bag is serviceable but not what I expected. The shoulder strap is very cheap and the plastic pins snapped with the weight of my gear (fins, BCD, regulator, mask, snorkel and wet suit) on the first use. There is no dry pocket as the description says. I'm sending it back.

According to the product description "Users will also dig the inside dry pocket, which protects everything from a change of clothes to important valuables as water sloshes about." Unfortunately, no such pocket exists. Also, bag is too small to realisitically fit all dive gear. you probably need something larger. D rings are plastic and seem like they will eventually break if you tried to carry all of your gear as they are not very well made. otherwise bag seems sturdy and as described.

The Bag is very roomy, but there is no inside dry pocket, bring a hefty bag if you don't want your wallet or phone to get wet. So disappointed that there is not a dry pocket on this bag because that would put it over the the top.
