The fins are very narrow and if your foot has any arch or even resembles wide, then do not expect this fin to fit. Only if you are a small male with a narrow foot and no arch can you expect even the largest size to fit. Read the other reviews to see the same news, I should have and normally do. 5.0 out of 5 stars Best of both worlds-Fast fins that act like a shoe..., April 27, 2008
This review is from: U.S. Divers Travel Ready TREK Snorkeling Fins (Misc.)
Ever try to walk around in swim fins, especially the long ones? It ain't easy. The Trek's made it a breeze for me though I probably looked like a duck because of their shape.

I tried the long and thin Proflex II's but they were so flimsy they curled with every kick of my legs creating drag which quickly tired me out. Walking in them was impossible.

The Trek's stiffness and short length propelled me through the water like I was flying using rapid stiff leg bent at the knee minikicks. They held their own advancing against the strong current of tuber's river rapids without a problem. Also used them as shoes to brace myself standing moving limestone boulders the size of 5 gallon water jugs out of the way of the rapids.

I couldn't believe how tough these fins were. The rubber/plastic material is thicker than the Proflex II's and they fit perfectly and comfortably. I walked on concrete without slipping and could brace myself from hitting huge underwater limestone boulders.

I would say the Trek's are the best design out of all of the US Diver line of swim fins, but I'm not a pro diver, so take that for what it's worth. Just started this month trying out this type of equipment for recreational use and I just love how these fins work.

I really love these fins. I bought them because they are short, so I can easily put them in my backpack when traveling to and from the boat and beach into the water.

You get as much power as long fins because they're wider. I've used them while snorkeling in Bonaire, Hawaii, and Thailand.

The best part is you can walk in them! Either from the beach into the waves or after getting ready to dive on a boat. You just can't do that with regular long fins. This is a HUGE convenience.

The only reason I'm knocking a star off my rating is I had a busted buckle. I just did a McGyver and wrapped a hairband to keep the buckle on. Still works great and no problems since!

UPDATED 10/18/10

I got that buckle replaced for free by the manufacturer, so yay!

I've now taken them to Fiji, Australia, and Maui and they continue to impress. My fellow scuba divers assume they don't work as well as the long ones and are amazed when I easily pass them or swim against a current without effort.

You just can't beat these fins when it comes to travel. Short = easy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product!, June 24, 2010

Bought these fins for a trip to Hawaii. Space was definitely a factor so the "travel size" was appealing. These are well made fins and were very comfortable. While they might not give you the thrust of full size fins, they do a good job for their size. The product for the price is a great bargain. I would highly recommend them and would buy again.

The fins are very narrow and if your foot has any arch or even resembles wide, then do not expect this fin to fit. Only if you are a small male with a narrow foot and no arch can you expect even the largest size to fit. Read the other reviews to see the same news, I should have and normally do. I have been diving 20 + years, worked at a dive store and taught diving. I am former football player with a size 10-D foot. I bought the largest size travel fin US Diver makes in this product, checked both US Diver travel fin products on Amazon before I purchased to make certain I bought the largest. These fins are so narrow my wife took them and with her fin booties and fin strap adjustment, they fit her great, she wears a size 8 shoe but small arch. The one time I didn't read the reviews and I should have taken the time. My wife and I travel, I thought these would be a great addition to my snorkel gear, having seen them with other divers in the Caribbean Islands. I am going to check the holiday deals and probably look at the Body Glove fin as a different possibility for travel fin. The other two items I bought worked GREAT and a great price: Tilos Neoprene Fin Socks Tilos Neoprene Fin Socks and U.S. Divers Snorkel System U.S. Divers Snorkel System. Dive Safe, remember the buddy system because it saves lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flippers Ahoy, June 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
i got a pare for myself and another for a friend and we love these
we are swimming for physical therapy and so lap after lap can get boring
BUT with these fins; First they help with buoyancy, i cant use my legs so they keep my legs up and not dragging
they allow us to try changing up our routine with confidence for with a little flip of the flipper i'm right where i want to be
My daughter came for Mothers day, i told her to get these, she did not, she said she didn't need any flippers She's all grown up and is a superhero so What's up with the flippers
And just like i told her once she plays in them, she won't give them back
Mother is always right
So get a pair No GET EVERYONE a pair and then you can swim in Peace and confidence
Peace and Grace

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome snorkeling fins, February 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these fins to use with my snorkel and mask during a trip to Cozumel. We snorkeled every day and the fins were awesome. The length was great for packing and provided more than enough power for moving against the current and diving 10 feet to grab shells or take underwater photos. They were very comfortable on bare feet, and I especially liked the extended sole that covered my heel for standing on rocks in the water. They were really easy to get off/on and adjust heel strap. I let me sister wear them on one outing, and although her travel fins (different brand) were ok, they weren't as comfortable or as powerful as these. She liked these better too and plans to order them for her next trip.

Took these along on a recent trip to the Bahamas for snorkeling. They were incredibly easy to pack, carry, and use, and were just as effective as any long fins I've ever worn. They are also easier to walk in than long fins. Great product.
