Charles W Pate has done a wonderful job of making a study of the U S made handguns that were used during WW II. This is well written , well illustrated, understandable and thorough. I was pleasently surprised how well illustrated and clearly documented the book is. What Handguns were made in the United States during the war and who were they sent to? This will be a book that fills an important place in the gun collector's reference library.

This outstanding book explores the subject of the varied handguns that served the allies in WWII. It is clear from page one that the author has obviously devoted much painstaking research to the subject. The illustrations and text are a font of valuable information for long time collectors and novices alike. It is a bargain at twice the price!
