4.0 out of 5 stars Highly detailed account of USMC history, February 11, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The U.S. Marine Corps Story (Paperback)
Moskin goes into great depth and has gleaned everything possible from his source materials. Readers may find the the book plods at times because of the level of detail, but you get the feeling that the book is very complete. Moskin is a bit old fashioned in his language (read "un-politically correct"), but overall a very thorough history.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome accounts of Marine Corps history!, October 2, 1998

This review is from: The U.S. Marine Corps Story (Paperback)
The U.S Marines pride shines through our history. All Marines past and present have made commitments to serving their country and chose the best armed service to do it in. This book gives fine examples of Marine Corps motivation and the battles in which extreme motivation was needed. Such Marines as Chesty Puller and Dan Daly are the reasons why the Marines tradtion keeps going. SEMPER FI
