CCH still annually produces the best one volume guides for income, and estate and gift tax questions for the professiional tax preparer or the layman wanting a handy desk reference. The only complaint is that guides that cost $3-4 when I began preparing taxes in the early 80s now are aproximately 20 times more expensive!
