i ordered these and was surprised by the shipping speed and the fact that the ones i got look NOTHING like the ones in the pictures. mine had a little blood on them, and no fur or attaching ribbon. they look more like sharpshooters trigger mitts. they have one finger set out from the rest. they are good for motorcycle rides as long as it's over 30 degrees, (i live in colorado). if it's under i need to wear my underarmor gloves too and then it's not bad, i start to get really cold after an hour or so of riding. my biggest complaint and the reason that i didn't give them 5 stars is that they don't at all resemble the ones pictured, they had blood spots, and weren't as warm as i'd hoped.

Best gloves I have ever owned. I got a pair for snowboarding because I would wear through the palms of gloves. I saw the leather and thought that would stand up a lot longer. They sure did! I have put these gloves through extreme conditions and never have even had cold hands. My biggest complaint is that you have to take your hand out of the gloves a lot to cool them off even in below zero temps. I have used them for many things including four wheeling, snowboarding, hiking, cutting firewood, loading an outdoor wood boiler and other things. Best part of these gloves is they are easy on and easy off. They can just slide off so you can use your hand for something then slide right back into the warmth. Everyone should own a pair of these.

I bought these mittens to use while driving a 4 wheeler in very cold weather. I've tried a variety of gloves/mittens to keep my hands warm, but the wind against the back of your hands goes through the gloves/mittens. These Military Artic Mittens are great! The material on the back side of the mittens appears to be a synthetic type of wool. It's dense and protects the back of the hand well. The mittens are large enough to let you wear a pair of mittens/gloves inside of these Artic Mittens. They work great! Would probably work well on snowmobiles too.

I had a pair of these mitts years ago and lost them. Tried many new mitts of different types and nothing comes close to these battling winters here in Minnesota and Canada.

The mittens I received are not the ones pictured. The word ARTIC is totally deceiving. No where on the label does it say artic and it's a good thing. My $3.99 mittens from Wal-Mart are a lot warmer. The label says they are flying type N- 4B mittens. The cuffs on these gloves are nine inches long and the entire mitten is 17 inches long. I'm a big guy and they come to my elbow. Try tucking your jacket into 17 inches. The mittens are totally useless for us earthlings. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!!!! The add says us army. In my 32 years in the Army I never saw gloves like these my cold weather mittens had a trigger finger. Kenneth D Tennessee
