A must have for every Navy family!,

I love this book! If you have a child that loves all-things Navy (planes, ships, submarines, etc.) then they will love it, too! The pictures are beautiful (paintings done from photographs) and the pages that represent each letter are so clever! Where else can you teach your child the English alphabet, semaphore and the phonetic alphabet (from alpha to zulu) all in one book?It is listed as ages baby to preschool, but because of the cool subject matter, I would not limit it to that age group. All four of our "Navy Brats" thought this book was pretty cool (ages elem. through jr. high). The only thing really "preschool" about it is the fact that it is an alphabet book. That said, I think it would make a fun baby shower gift for the expecting Navy wife, too!

You can never have enough Alphabet books.,
This review is from: U.S. Navy Alphabet Book (Paperback)
I have three of Mr. Pallotta's alphabet books and they are all great. This one is good for the nautical types, but it is great for building vocabulary. Even my 11 year old loves to look this one. It is especially good for us seeing we do not live in the States. It give us a variety of words that we would not come across in our normal day to day living. Each letter comes with its nautical flag and on letter Y they ask you to decode a message.

Great content, a lot of information. Only complaint was that I noticed 1-2 typos and it seems that a book that has made it all the way to publication should have perfect grammar and spelling.
