This model looks great sitting on this Trekkie's desk. It is fairly detailed and as far as I can tell it is accurate to the model used in the TV series. The red and blue portions of the nacelles are made of a semi-transparent plastic, so if the light hits them just right they almost light up like in the show. There is some assembly required, the saucer, the secondary hull, and the nacelles must all be connected. I recommend using thin beads of plastic cement as the components don't really hold together on their own. My only complaint is that the ship is hard to balance on the stand and very easy to knock over. Overall great model though.
