Grade 4-8 Although the content in these books is not as detailed as the ``Portrait of America'' series (Raintree) or the ``America the Beautiful'' series (Childrens), the photography is gorgeous and information is presented in a readable style. Territories and Possessions covers Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Wake and Midway, and Micronesia. All books cover history, the land, and the people. The books have a fact finding approach rather than a casual perusal. A few of the complex sentences may prove difficult for less able readers.
