Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Very readable, not overwhelming, but comprehensive up-to-date reference on the subject. And unfortunately priced like a book for planning professionals and traffic engineers, which are the target audiences. Too bad, because citizens engaged in traffic calming initiatives might certainly find this a worthwhile addition to their bookshelf.

If you fall in that latter category, try Streets and Sidewalks, People and Cars: The Citizens' Guide to Traffic Calming by Burden. Inexpensive, if you can find it, and a bit dated, but a great primer on the topic.
