So I have to admit that I almost didn't buy this because I was concerned that it would make my Macbook Pro run hotter, and it already runs much warmer than I think it should. The reason I gave it a chance is because this is a hard plastic case, but is padded on the outside for more protection and lined on the inside so it won't scratch the MBP's case like the plain hard plastic cases do. To my surprise, my MBP temperatures dropped! It seriously runs about 20 degrees (Celsius) cooler than it was, both sitting on a desk and in my lap. I'm guessing the hard plastic case gives it a little breathing room underneath, and the back is kept open as well. It fits perfectly, and snaps on securely. It looks and is very high-quality. Overall I would really recommend this case, as I am very impressed with it.

Wow, cannot believe how nicer my mac book pro looks. The leather case really looks nice and fits snug. No legs or bumps on the bottom to fall off just flat. I really like it, my best case ever. Opening the Mac book pro you may have a little trouble is you have fat fingers, just press the button with your little finger, Have fun styling.

After doing a significant amount of research on the best way to protect my new 15" Macbook Pro laptop, I bought this leather (like) cover.
I had tried the Speck hard shell prior to this and ended up going back to it after trying this leather case.

The leather case looks nice, although not as nice as I thought it would. The biggest problem I found was that opening the computer was difficult because this case adds some bulk and the opening to press the lid release button requires a real skinny finger to get to it without having to hold the computer stationary while pressing the button with the other. If that wouldn't bug you, then I'd recommend this case.

This is the most executive looking of all the cases I found during my research so if that's what's most important to you, then this is your best bet.

I did a lot of research for the best way to protect my new MBP. I was ready to spend hundreds of dollars on some of the complete backpack/case systems, but in the end decided to pair this case with a Wenger backpack, and I couldn't be happier.

I was a bit afraid that this would be what I wanted, but I am quite pleased with it. As another reviewer said, you do need to use your skinnier fingers to get the MBP open (not a big deal and easy to get used to). Also, installation can be tedious if you're as anal as I was with my brand new MBP, but this is really a good product. Highly recommended if you're looking for a thin shell to protect from incidental scratches and what not.

This case is good. it looks sharp, but is not offered in enough colors (black, red, purple, white). it has a micro fiber lining to protect the computer from the case itself, which is great. I don't think if i dropped my machine this case would really prevent damage. but it does give protection when sitting and when being carried around. it fits well and snaps on without and trouble. one gripe is that the slot for the button to open your mac is somewhat small. I have small hands and have trouble getting my finger through to open it. like that other review, i think it does help keep the machine running cooler. maybe not the vast improvement he saw, but it does help.

I got this case to protect my Macbook Pro. It looks great and, more importantly, it works!! The cutouts are well designed overall and allow all plugs and accessories to have easy connectivity. The only drawback is that it takes a bit of an effort to hit the cover button which releases the cover. The available space for the average finger to get in is quite small. That could have been better thought out. But other than that, it is a wonderful accent to my computer, it elimnates the worry about cracks and scratches, and it gives me piece of mind when I am traveling.

Bit bulky, DO NOT try to force it into any sleeve or place in backpack with books. There is a hard edge around the cutout that can push into the backside of the LCD and damage it!
