This CD is so good, it brought tears to my eyes. What could be better than the greatest names in reggae covering UB40 hits with UB40 as the back up band. If you are a roots reggae and UB40 fan, you must have this. Best tracks are: Gregory Isaacs singing BRING ME YOUR CUP. Leroy Sibbles HIGHER GROUND and The Mighty Diamonds YOU COULD MEET SOMEBODY.

This review is from: UB40 Present The Fathers Of Reggae (Audio CD)
This CD was a great addition to my all inclusive UB40 Collection! I love listening to some of my very favorite UB40 songs as interpreted by other singers! Sometimes it makes it easier to understand the lyrics, in my opinion. I was thrilled to see that Bring Me Your Cup (one of my absolute favorite ub40 songs!) was being sung by Gregory Isaacs (RIP), my second favorite reggae singer (next to Ali Campbell, of course!). I find it so amazing that UB40 started their career doing covers of the original songs from the fathers of reggae and later the tables turned. The fathers of reggae are now paying tribute to UB40!!! That goes to show what an AMAZING band UB40 has always been. If you are a true UB40 fan, your collection won't be complete without this great CD!
