Great for my use, December 26, 2009
This review is from: UCO Grilliput Portable Camping Grill (Sports)
When I opened this Christmas present I told my wife "This grill has to have been made in Germany" as they do wonders with machined stainless steel. It is extremely well made and thoughtfully designed. While a bit heavy for some backpackers it suits my adventure motorcycle camping needs perfectly where space consumption is more critical than weight. I especially like the ability to scrape the gunk off the grill members for cleanup. Excellent product. BTW, my wife did not buy this product from Amazon. She got it through Campmor. I mention that as Campmor produces a great and funky catalogue and website and they have a great selection of outdoor gear.

easy to pack grill., June 19, 2008
The grill is very compact and easy to pack. Of course, it only accomodates a small amount of food at one time, and it is a little tedious to assemble; but it works very well as an extra grill.

Easy to Use and Pack, February 19, 2009
This is a very sturdy little grill that, when broken down for packing, fits easily into a day pack or even a large pocket. Along with the Grilliput Firebowl, this is one of the most versatile pieces of camp cooking equipment you can own. I have also used it during natural disasters to be able to cook a nice warm meal.
It is very light weigh and takes up very little room in a back pack. It sets up easily and quickly and is sturdy enough to hold a full pot of water for boiling. The grill, once sprayed with a little bit of oil is very non-stick and you can even grill something that is hard to cook like fish on it easily without it falling apart because it sticks to it.
When the area flooded last summer, I used this and my fire bowl to safely and easily cook nice hot meals during my week plus without power. It sure made all the sadness and worry a lot easier to take with a hot meal in my belly.
Coupled with the Fire Bowl, this is easily recommended to any camper or back packer. In fact, if you just want to have something in the drawer for those emergencies that most folks do not prepare for, buy this one and the fire bowl and just store it and some tinder and matches and rest assured you are ready for cooking when the chips are down. This is a great product.
