The UCO Stormproof Match Kit is waterproof and holds 25 matches as well as spare strikers. UCO Stormproof Matches burn for around 15 seconds, no matter how harsh conditions may become. The matches are windproof, waterproof, and even continue burning underwater. An integrated striker is attached on the side of the Match Kit, and can be replaced when worn out.

The UCO Stormproof Match Case Kit is an excellent addition to your survival gear or E.D.C. kit. If you were to have only one type of match then the Stormproof matches are the ones to carry. They are windproof and will remain lit even after being completely submerged in water. The match will burn for approximately 15 seconds even in windy and wet conditions. When used in conjunction with Vaseline impregnated cotton balls you have a great method to start a fire during inclement weather. These matches should only be used outdoors and would not be recommended for children as once the match is lit it won't go out until completely burned. I believe in redundancy and also carry a Swedish Firesteel - Army Model as my primary fire starting tool.

Pros:
- Comes with 25 Stormproof matches
- Came with one cotton ball (There is enough room to add one extra cotton ball.)
- Case is durable and waterproof (I submerged the case in water for one hour and the matches remained completely dry.)
- A match striker is located on the outside of the case for easy and convenient use
- Two spare strikers are included
- Available in bright yellow or green
- Kit weight is only 1.7 ounces

Cons:
- A bit on the bulky side. I wouldn't mind a redesign of the case to a rectangular shape with a lower profile. This would increase storage options within your gear.

I really like the UCO Stormproof Match Case Kit as it is the only case I have seen that will fit these extra large matches. Stormproof matches are larger than most matches and therefore require a larger case. Most of the cases available are designed for standard size matches will not fit the Stormproof matches.

I highly recommend the UCO Stormproof Match Case Kit as a part of your fire starting gear.

These are some great matches, stay lit even underwater. If you don't believe me, go youtube UCO stormproof matches and see for yourself.

Product came as advertised. Just like the boxed UCO matches it comes with extra striking strips. All 25 matches accounted for as well as a cotton ball I wasn't expecting, but knowing it's there just incase I need it is nice to know. The case itself is about as long as my hand is wide, fits right in the palm of my hand. No leaks in case, it handled my water soak test.

A good thing to have in your firestarting kit. I added it in with my firestarting kit, I usually keep multiple methods of starting fires with me just incase. If I end up using all the matches up, I can easily use the case to keep dry tinder in or I could simply order some more UCO matches that come in a matchbox and refill the case.

Definitely a must have for your emergency/survival kit, hardly takes up any space in mine.

Product is inexpensive, sturdy, and well designed. There is an o-ring for the seal and the cap must be a quarter turn past hand tight to be waterproof.

Product came with a cotton ball and 24 UCO stormproof matches inside, which was a pleasant surprise. Most products do not come with extra items featured in the profile picture. Given the usual price of the matches this is a great buy.

There is a built-in strike pad on the side and the standard UCO strike pads that come with a 24 pack of matches tucked inside.

It is about 3 inches x 1.5 inches and is cylindrical in shape.
