Great Remote,

This review is from: UFD Coiled Remote with Quick Disconnect (Misc.)
This is a very good remote, I used it this weekend for the first time. The remote was still working with no leaks after 8 games and 5 hours of woodsball.I have three issues with this remote: 1. It doesn't come with instructions. 2. The valve screw comes completely off which means you can lose it. 3. It is not a true quick connect as you have to close the valve and depressurize the system before removing it from the marker. (see my tutorial below) Nonetheless its's a great remote which gives you agility and removes the weight of the tank from the marker. Connecting the Remote: 1. Open (unscrew) the valve so the internal pin is all the way up into the assembly. (if you don't it will beginning leaking as you screw the valve onto the tank) 2. Screw the valve onto the tank. Remember this is hand tightened only, no tools required. 3. Connect the "quick connect" to the marker with the tank valve open (unscrewed). 4. Close (screw down) the valve to pressurize the system. Disconnecting the remote: 1. Open (unscrew) the valve on the tank to stop gas flow. You have to unscrew it far enough to disengage the valve pin from the tank pin otherwise your system will not depressurize. 2. Dry fire your marker until the system is depressurized. If you don't complete this step you'll likely blow out the o-ring in the quick connect (good luck replacing it). 3. Unplug the quick connect from the mark and the valve from the tank.

Larry,

Nice remote, fits well. The quick connect makes it easy to disconnect the tank before cleaning the gun. NOTE: before you try to disconnect the connector, shut off the tank valve and then pull the trigger 4 or 5 times, that makes it real easy.

This product works great! Some people don't like the twist on-off swich, but I love it. The quick disconnect works great too. Overall, this works fantastic and holds up well over time in play.

Worthwhile buy. Doesn't seem to leak. Allows me to carry plenty of air on my back. (I'm running compressed air instead of co2) Frees up mobility and allows me to better use a sling on my marker.

So i got this remote line and it didnt come with any instuctions so i attatched it to my gun then i screwed on a 9 ounce tank and fired to make sure it worked. So then i decided to try disconecting it to see what would happen. I think i still had the cap on the part that is over the tank and so when i disconected it the thing started spraying Co2 all over and so i quik tried to reconect it but i wasnt able to cause of the pressure and so the little O-ringe inside of the thing blasted out while i was trying to conect it and since the O-ring wasnt in there any more it conected but Co2 was still coming out :/ . so i quik took it in my room and and opened the window to get some airflow. Its a great product and it arrived on time but it would have been nice to have some instuctions. regardless i still give it 5 stars (geuss ill look on youtube to c how to work it) And all this happened inside my house, i didnt feal to good after inhaling about 2 or 3 ounces of Co2.

From what I see from how my gun was firing it works great. No leaks what-so-ever and allows you to engage/disengage the tank and swap tanks with ease. Overall great product for the money.

so this remote is very affordable and does the job just fine. If you are a novice or beginner player to paintball than this is deffinetly the coil for you. There have been a couple of other different reviews on this item saying that it doesnt come with directions for the instal. well they are right but if you cant figure out which side is male and which side is female than you need to go back to school. as for why i rated this item a three star, the quick disconnct is good but it doesnt stop the air that may still be left in the tank from coming out and if you are a player outside of a course, this could become an expensive problem. the valve that attaches to your tank is supposed to decrease the air flow from the tank to your asa and well if you are using co2 then this is somewhat of a delema as co2 is stored in liquid form and has a phase change to become a gas. so once a co2 tank is on the valve does nothing for you. the coil itself, or the hose that connects the two ends is durable and hasnt had any problems with kinks durring my activity. i am 6'6" and when standing to fire it does create a little tension when i am sholdering my marker. every other position i am in, it is fine, and while running in the woods, it does keeps the compact coil shape. overall i think that this is a good buy for beginners but i am not so sure on the disconnect or the valve open and close and that is why i rated it three stars. hope this review helps, happy hunting!

Good quality and has lasted. I even dropped it with a tank connected and bent up the adjustment knob and it still works.

it works fine but there was no instruction manual so i lost all the air in my tank the first time i used it. as long as you unscrew it fast you will be fine
