Nice introduction to some of the more intriguing encounters,

This review is from: UFO Briefing Document: The Best Available Evidence (Mass Market Paperback)
While there are no earth-shattering revelations presented in this work, it does cover some of the most interesting and unexplainable encounters in the modern history of ufo phenomena. Fortunately, the author minimizes personal conjecture and relays facts surrounding the incidents. The book's title led me to believe that it was connected to the recent document compiled and presented to major governments and world leaders. However, while that document is mentioned in passing, there is apparently no connection. I don't believe there is anything here for the avid UFO enthusiast or researcher, but it is a well-presented work for the uninitiated without the "way out there" conjecture common to so many books on this subject.

UFOs Best Evidence,
This review is from: UFO Briefing Document: The Best Available Evidence (Mass Market Paperback)
This book presents the best documented cases of the UFO History. After reading this book, it seems inevitable to reach the conclusion that UFOs do exist, and that many of them are machines with intelligently controlled behaviour.
The extraterrestrial explanation of UFOs is not covered in the book, but after reading the book, the extraterrestrial explanation certainly gets closer in credibility.

Covers most of the popular cases between 1947 and the present. Has lots of corroborating quotations from government and scientific personnel of various governments. This book belongs on everyone's bookshelf.

Old News to Ufologists...,

This review is from: UFO Briefing Document: The Best Available Evidence (Mass Market Paperback)
There's nothing within this book that will surprise you if you are an avid Ufologist. However, as I am always appreciative of a valid treatment of the subject, I would recommend this to those looking for a credible overview of government dealings with UFOs.

Concise collection of some of the most important UFO events of the last 50 years. You won't need to dig through tons of other books to find this material. Also, I highly recommend UFO Report and Alien Update by Timothy Good; all of these books contain the best reported cases of unexplained phenomena.

A UFO Document: Serious Business,

This review is from: UFO Briefing Document: The Best Available Evidence (Mass Market Paperback)
The author here has assembled an impressive store of official governmental releases pertaining to the UFO phenomenon from around the world. Most cases are visual & radar sightings that are compelling but very repetitive in nature. The author suggests that most governments are still covering up extensive evidence of extraterrestrial visitation to avoid public hysteria. His wish is for our government to really disclose all it knows about UFOs, but does not tell us what should be done beyond that. It would appear our civilization is "helpless" to affect the situation anyway, with or without all this undisclosed information... if what the documents say is true.

After reading and watching most of the better books and DVD's ( some of the not so good also ) I must say that these are the highlights of the cases that were really amazing to me and well documented that I had the pleasure to read. I can recommend this as a great book for those who would like a detailed over view of the best cases reported in my limted opion.
enjoy putnam

The book is stolen from Prof. Steven Greer,
This review is from: UFO Briefing Document: The Best Available Evidence (Mass Market Paperback)
I am reading "Hidden truth - Forbidden knowledge" by Steven Greer, in which he explains how "The best available evidence "was actually written by him and then stolen from a people in the circle of Laurence Rockefeller. This is what Dr. Greer says in his book: " ....Around this same time, we had put together a series of documents that constituted what is called "The best available evidence". In the spirit of collegiality, I shared this openly as a work-in-progress with Laurence and with other people. It turned out that the 'woman in red' intercepted it, took Laurence Rockefeller's and one of CSETI' stalwart supporter's money and hired a writer within the UFO community. He then took it, rewrote it, put their name on it, copyrighted it and stole it from us. Later, when we tried to use it for further free and open briefings, she hired one of the biggest law firms in Washington and threatened to sue me! How nice... This after they stole the concept, including the title of the entire document. "
I still intend to buy and read the book, but am aware that is probably 85% stolen from Dr. Greer.

If you are just starting into UFOlogy, this is a great book to pick up, covering the most basic of these paranormal events. Well laid out, and easy to understand. Not much for advanced UFO students except as a pocket reference guide.

New frontiers and new incidents brought to the map. Similar in essence to already available books on the subject, however the presentation is responsible and more comprehensive. Solid evidence? Yes. Something totally new? NO. Worth reading? Absolutely!
