I would suggest to anyone who is new to the UFO phenomenon and who might be a bit skeptical about all reported alien abduction cases that this is a great case to begin your investigations on the subject.

The reason I say this is because there are many alleged contactee cases and abduction cases where the person or sometimes the "victim" comes back with a rather crazy story to tell with crazy teachings from the alleged aliens that can seem off the wall for even a staunch mystic. Then, they might try to produce a lot of "proof" by various photographs or recordings of various kinds that, many times, will fail under the scrutiny of good scientific analysis. Once these teachings and silly-looking "proofs" are revealed, many skeptics are quick to conclude that all such stories are simply created by those who desire to draw attention to themselves or make a profit off of the gullible public and then the skeptics are quick to discard the idea of all abduction cases and contactee cases altogether.

This case, however, does not have this. There are almost no teachings revealed from the alleged encounter at all. There is no physical evidence that the two abductees tried to produce in order to prove their case to the public. In fact, the abductees didn't even try to make themselves known to the public at all. News of the encounter happened to leak out by those who overheard the story and then they were forced to be caught up in the public attention.

What the case does have, however, is strong evidence of two witnesses who had a very strange encounter that would affect them for the rest of their lives. As one reads the stories and hears of the accounts from the witnesses, one can judge for himself the honesty and consistency of the two men.

If you are interested at all in alien abduction. Then you must buy this book. It tells the true story of two young men. Who were abducted by aliens over 40 years ago. Charles has appeared on national news programs along with the Johnny Carson show. His story has not changed in that time. Also there were several sightings of spacecrafts the night of their dissapearance. This is a very well known case.

Published in 1983 with an initial hardcover print-run of only 2,000 copies, this book is now rare. It documents the full story of the abduction of shipyard workers Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker whilst fishing on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi on the evening of 11th October 1973, by humanoid entities observed to emerge from a nearby hovering UFO; plus the follow-up investigations of the incident and what happened to the two participants in subsequent years.

Initially Hickson and Parker attempted to report the encounter to nearby Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, only to be told that the USAF "did not handle those things". They then went to the office of the local Sheriff, who suspecting a prank interviewed them separately, compared their testimonies and then (on the pretext of "going to get some coffee") left a hidden tape recorder running in the room where the two witnesses were left unaccompanied, and finally became convinced they were telling the truth. Astronomer J. Allen Hynek immediately flew down to Pascagoula to interview the pair, pronounced the case to be "absolutely genuine": the case became national news and received widespread media coverage. Due to the unassailable character of the co-witnesses, their unshakeable testimonies and the evidence which only became stronger the more deeply it was investigated, this came to be seen as one of the classic cases of multi-witness alien abduction whose veracity has never been seriously challenged.

The book is co-authored by investigator William Mendez and Charles Hickson, the older of the two witnesses, covers the development of the relationship of trust between the co-authors and all the details of the story as it unfolded.

Format: Hardcover
This book covers not only the Hickson and Parker apparent abduction, but also Charlie Hickson's subsequent experiences, including one in which he and other members of his family witnessed a low-flying UFO. It is a case that cannot be dismissed. Hickson describes his changing feelings towards the aliens. By the time of the family encounter he is thinking that he must go and meet the beings aboard the UFO, while at the same moment his wife is screaming with fear.

The transcripts of multiple hypnosis sessions are included, plus other details, such as how the day after the incident blood poured from a small puncture wound on Hickson's upper left arm and of how one of the windows on Calvin Parker's car was knocked out. Some details of other reported incidents from Oct 1973 are also included, the most famous of which being the Larry Coyne helicopter encounter.

William Mendez wrote the bulk of the text, interspersed with passages by HIckson. They both should be applauded for what is a concise and fascinating read. A book that deserves to be updated and reissued.
