An unimpressive book,

This review is from: UFO Crash Landing?: Friend or Foe?: The Full Story of the Rendlesham Forest Close Encounter (Paperback)
I've read hundreds of books on the UFO subject so I think I have the right to speak my mind on this book. If you are new to the subject of UFO's you may find it interesting but if your knowledgable on the subject and were hoping to find some insights into the particular incident which is the subject of this book then dont waste your money.I must have read 60 or 70 pages of the 200 page book before actually getting into the "meat and potatos" of the incident in the forest that night. 30 pages later you had pretty much read everything you needed to in this book, so basically theres about a 170 pages of filler and 30 pages of interesting reading. Which is surprising considering the author is constantly reminding you how many years she researched this incident. She also seems to have an over-inflated sense of self importance. She seems to make a point of needing you to believe she is a very important player in the UFO community. The book seemed to be much more about her and not so much about the Rendlesham Forest close encounter. Seemed like she was attempting to debunk the story at times and trying to convince us of its reality at others. Dont know what thats about but just a poor effort in my opinion. If looking for great contemporary books on the subject of UFO's i would strongly suggest reading any of Timothy Good's books, or those by Jim Marrs. Their work will leave you spellbound......not frustrated and disappointed
