3.0 out of 5 stars They know more than they are telling us
The facts are all there - the point made - the authorities have known for a long time. Yet more compounding evidence that we should all be aware of - UFO's are real, they are here and Bruce takes us through the evidence rather convincingly. Read it

5.0 out of 5 stars Attention: FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully:, June 9, 2000
This review is from: UFO/FBI Connection: The Secret History of the Government's Cover-Up (Paperback)
You - and FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully - need to read "UFO-FBI Connection." It'll give you a close-up view of the _real_ X-Files. In fact, since 1952, I've read about 125 UFO books and I think "UFO-FBI Connection" is the best of the bunch. Here is why.

First, "UFO-FBI Connection" is clearly the most accurate UFO book. Author Bruce Maccabee is an optical physicist consultant to the US Navy. His decades of professional scientific research helped guarantee an accurate investigation of the early official history of UFOs. He dug up hundreds of long-forgotten or never-released FBI, CIA, US Air Force, US Navy, and Department of Defense documents, all from the critical early years of official UFO research in the United States; this huge inventory of raw data helped assure an accurate overall evaluation. Dr. Maccabee soon saw that even though all of these official documents appeared sensible, upon closer scrutiny he found that many were inaccurate, nonsensical, or outright deceitful.

Second, Dr. Maccabee's scientific background and personal courage helped him dissect a mountain of official press releases and public statements. After carefully studying the official record, Dr. Maccabee fearlessly but calmly blows the whistle on government sloth, stupidity, and arrogance, as well as on the occasional "red herring" press release aimed at misleading the public, the media, and naïve investigators.

Third, I consider "UFO-FBI Connection" the most thorough and well-organized investigation of one major aspect of the UFO subject. Dr. Maccabee's research took full advantage of the door-opening power of the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA). He then structured his discoveries in the most professionally organized report I've ever seen on this subject. Here you'll examine proof positive of government incompetence, outright lies, and Orwellian "double-speak" intended to steer the public away from certain explosive facts. And exactly what kinds of explosive facts are we talking about, do you wonder?

In "UFO-FBI Connection" you will read the revealing testimony of radar operators who tracked UFOs over Washington, D.C. in July 1952. But perhaps more importantly, you'll also read the first-person account of Dr. Maccabee's conversation with a scientist who confirmed mind-boggling allegations of an official recovery of UFO crash debris and corpses of alien beings.

Finally, Dr. Maccabee's razor-sharp wit and keen sense of humor help make this book a delight to read. "UFO-FBI Connection" sparkles with quick insight, spontaneous humor, and flat-of-the-blade asides.

So, I recommend "UFO-FBI Connection" to everyone who expresses serious interest in what's really been going on, especially in those critical, earliest official UFO investigations.

You - and FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully - can know the truth about the _real_ X-Files, and that truth can set you free.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bruce Maccabee is a legitimate UFOlogist, March 31, 2002

When trying to choose a book about UFOs, you may not know how to avoid the flaky ones. This is a thoroughly researched and well written book, and a must-read for anyone beyond the initial stages of reading on UFOs. Bruce Maccabee is a solid, methodical investigator with years of background in UFO studies.

This book is not about abductions; it does not engage in any far out speculation. It is about evidence of government agencies' involvement of UFO matters over several decades--evidence gathered straight out of government files, mostly from FBI and Air Force Intelligence files, but also from the files of other agencies.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Informative, September 28, 2000
By

This review is from: UFO/FBI Connection: The Secret History of the Government's Cover-Up (Paperback)
I found this book to be informatively thorough, yet tedious and repetitive in quite a few areas. This point-reinforcement method was useful, but could have been delivered in a more interesting way than simply repeating text. The incidents described are fascinating, and keep the reader absorbed. The documentation (or lack of due to ensuing chains of events) will astound the reader. The author's bibliographical references are somewhat impressive, but I felt a few key resources (such as The Day after Roswell were omitted. UFO-FBI Connection is not an "easy-read"; there are many names to keep track of, as they recur in later chapters, and Mr. Maccabee gets rather technical in some discussions. (He does, however, provide a nice little appendix of acronyms used in the book, which is nice, except some are merely abbreviations --- NOT acronyms). The author's obsession with the television program The X-Files is unnecessarily displayed throughout the book. (Personally, I have never seen the show, as I strive to deal with reality.) Still, UFO-FBI Connection has its place in this ever-investigative phenomenon, but perhaps a primer such as UFOs Are Real: Here's the Proof (the author's first book) would serve well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surpringly Good, July 21, 2006
This review is from: UFO/FBI Connection: The Secret History of the Government's Cover-Up (Paperback)
What the author set out to do he did well, this book is very well ordered and researched. I was hoping to read things on propulsion systems and see pictures of UFO's, but there was none of that, only pictures of various men and documents here and there. Tho that was very disappointing, regardless, he showed what he said he would. This is an excellent book to have regardless of it's narrow topic, because it shows what a liar the U.S. Government is, and how it can hardly be trusted to tell the truth. Besides that, I found it to be interesting to see what the FBI truly knew. Apparently, it didn't know much in J. Edgar Hoovers' days.

5.0 out of 5 stars New uncovered info of government cover ups, August 5, 2000
By
This review is from: UFO/FBI Connection: The Secret History of the Government's Cover-Up (Paperback)
Bruce Maccabee writes abouts government contridictions in released public UFO information and uncovered internal government memorandums regarding the real story of those releases. Maccabee described some UFO sightings that I have not heard of in the many books that I have read on the subject. Some UFO cases in this book are familiar to all who are interested in UFO studies but with new facts. I recommend this book to all that have an open mind to the UFO subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Real Cover-Up on UFO's ! ! !, January 13, 2009
This review is from: UFO/FBI Connection: The Secret History of the Government's Cover-Up (Paperback)
I purchased this book in the summer of 2002, but I did not finish reading it until December of 2008. I can truly say that I savored it, over a long period of time, as one might savor a fine wine. Like that fine wine, this book, too, is worth every penny of its purchase price. ... If you're looking for glam and sparkle, you will not find any of that here. But if you're looking for hard-cold, historical facts and true, first-person testimonials about UFO sightings that were recorded by various persons in the military or who worked in other government agencies, then the data collected in this book is for you. ...

Whether you believe in the existence of UFO's or not, and whether you have ever seen (or personally know of someone who has seen) a UFO or not, does not matter. What matters is the unquestionable accuracy and incontestible and reliable evidence that was analyzed and presented by the author of this book. The book's subject could have been about something else that the government has been trying to cover-up. In this instance, it just happens to be about UFO's. The government covers-up all kinds of information, all the time. That the author of this book systematically and diligently persisted in his quest to reveal the full extent of that cover-up is highly commendable. It is also highly commendable that he has proven, without a doubt, that not only has the government been covering-up the existence of UFO's, but that UFO's do exist and are out there - wherever they come from and whatever they are. I know, because I have seen one myself with my own eyes! ...

Here is one excellent excerpt from page 248 of the book: "Evidently, the opinion of the "saucer craze" as expressed by the Project Blue Book staff to the CIA study group was considerably different from the opinion expressed by AFI personnel in the Pentagon to the AFOSI and to the FBI (see the previous chapter). The AFI personnel admitted that there was a "hard core" amounting to about three percent of the sightings, such as many reported by commercial and Air Force pilots, which could not be explained and this led some top-level officials to believe that saucers could be interplanetary vehicles. Because the Project Blue Book personnel were very skeptical, even cynical, about UFO sightings, they did not tell the CIA study group about the "hard core." Instead, the CIA representatives were told that "20% have not been explained, primarily because of the vague descriptions." This was misinformation provided (perhaps intentionally) to the CIA by the Blue Book personnel. The fact is that the hardcore three percent of the total number of sightings (fifteen percent of the unexplained sightings) had well-reported, explicitly described details which prevented identification as known phenomena." ...

There you have it! ... That's right! Not only does the government cover-up the truth from us - its citizens, who pay their salaries with our hard earned tax dollars - but it also covers-up the truth from itself! So, what else is new? Different agencies of the government have been keeping information from each other, and from all of us, for decades! This book not only proves that, but shows to what extent this type of intentional disinformation dispersion and information witholding is happening. It's been happening for a long time. I don't expect it to get better any time soon, either, just because Obama is now going to become the president of the United States.

But I would be delighted if it did! ... Read this book if you want to know the real truth about the relationship between the government and UFO's! ... YOWZA! - The Aeolian Kid

5.0 out of 5 stars UFO-FBI CONNECTION, May 31, 2000
This review is from: UFO/FBI Connection: The Secret History of the Government's Cover-Up (Paperback)
UFO/FBI Connection is the most commendable Book on the market since it's release. I strongly suggest those who have not read the Book, to obtain a copy. Dr. Bruce Maccabee is one of the finest researchers known on the UFO topic, and I find he is a remarkable writer/researcher/optic physicist. He is to be commended for all his work. In my opinion, this Book will certainly go to #1 on the Bestseller list, and rightfully should! A must read Book for anyone interested in the truth.....the real x-files! Congratulations Mr. Maccabee for a job well done !

I suppose that I expected more interesting data in this book by Mr. MacCabee and although we read about good sightings by credible people and letters by F.B.I. and the Air Force, they are not that "one" we are looking for. In a nutshell, Bruce relates many of the events that happened during the 50's and 60's, tells of the "Blue Book" organization , the "Sign" and "Grudge" groups set up to investigate the UFO reports but after reading the book one thing stands out: The men in charge knew that the UFOs were not from any place on Earth and could only be from Outer Space but the Air Force whose job it was and is to protect us from all aerial forces...would NOT accept this solution.

It seems that a "think tank" advised the United States Government several years ago to never admit that the UFOs were from another world, so that seems to be the way it will be... untill an Alien spacecraft lands on the White House.
