4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
Good quality, but don't always stay under the back of my foot. Also wear a bit quickly in the back.

I can finally say that I have first hand experience of not knowing what all the hoopla is about with this brand.

My slippers arrived about 3 weeks ago, and thus far, I am pleased with them but not extremely happy. And for that price, I'd prefer to be extremely happy.

The sizing here is a bit odd, as Amazon indicates them as 11 D's (med to wide width), but there's no indication of the 'D' on the box, and they don't feel like they are wider than they should be. But, from a quick internet search, all mens Uggs appear to be considered 'D' width. The slippers started out quite snug, but as the lining has become matted they are a bit roomier.
As for actual size, they fit well on bare feet, and initially were too tight to wear with socks, but as I said above have become roomier with the matting of the lining. I wear a 10.5/11 shoe, ordered the 11, and they fit fine. They are snug enough on my foot, so I guess if you want a roomier fit, go a size up. Otherwise, they seem to be true-to-size.

Quality-wise, they seem pretty good and have strong stitching, but we'll see what their total longevity is. Though as they are made in Vietnam (as are many of the slippers I've owned previously), I'm not sure what type of quality I'll get out of them. Marketing or truth? We shall see.

The major pitfall with these: sole padding. To expand on that, there is none. Aside from the 'real lamb fur' lining, there's just a hard, very thin sole between foot and floor. They definitely provide no support/cushioning whatsoever. A bit disappointed there, to be honest. I can 'forgive' this as they're just house slippers, but I'd prefer some cushioning. Also of note, they have a cloth/nubuck sole, so not very slip-resistant and not a slipper you'll want to wear outside to get the mail, especially on wet ground. Even just walking around a kitchen has stained the soles with whatever contraband might be found in said kitchen.

And back to the matting of the fur lining, a not so fun side effect is that the warmth factor of the slipper drops a bit. I find myself dragging my fingers on the lining to 'fluff' it back in order to recapture the warmth I felt during the first week or so that I wore these. Not a huge deal, but if this lining doesn't hold up for even this season, dare I say that I'll be quite disappointed. The whole reason I bought a slide/scuff and not a full slipper was because my feet tend to get hot/sweaty in a full slipper. But if these fail to even keep my toes warm, that could be another issue I'll have to weigh for future purchases.

I'm keeping these simply based on the quality associated with the brand, as otherwise I'd just buy a $30 pair of slippers, wear them daily, and have to buy a new pair 3 months later because they fell apart (as history has dictated). If these last me a couple winter seasons (8 months, give or take), I'll consider it a break-even. Any longer and it'll be gravy on top. Early prospects aren't that promising, but nothing is glaring enough for me to call these a bust. The question though is would I spend the money on these again? Honestly, probably not. Not worth the high price point thus far. But, as I said, if these last a couple years (including being able to re-up the warm factor with the lining brushing), that view could change drastically if just to merely spare me from spending $30 every couple months on flimsy slippers.

*12/14/11 UPDATE* I'm returning these slippers, as it has turns out that the quality just isn't there. A little over a month of wearing these off-and-on during the week (and not even that often, as we've had some warm weather here as of late), the lining in one of the slippers, on the outer side of my foot/sole, has completely worn away down to the foot bed. Since it only took a month for this to happen, I don't expect these to hold up for much longer before more bare patches appear. And as I said above, the warmth factor is mitigated by the matted lining. I'll be contacting the seller tomorrow to return these for a refund. If anything, I'm glad UGG has a good warranty policy at least (1 year vs. defects). Also glad I held on the box/shipping label.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uggs made a believer out of my man!, January 18, 2008
My guy always boasted that he never wore slippers...didn't see a reason to in a world of plentiful socks. I convinced him, you'll not only wear these, you will love wearing them. He opened the package Christmas morning and has had them on ever since...except when he's on his way to the office! They're gorgeous and super comfortable.

These slippers are well worth it--I bought my boyfriend a pair for X-mas in black suede, and then later just had to buy some for myself. Mine have held up a little better than his: I think mostly due to the fact that his are suede and mine are not. But they are incredibly comfortable and warm.

My husband has never worn slippers in the 20yrs we have been together but over the winter he started trying to cram his toes into my UGGS..so I got him a pair of his own.. now even with spring knocking on our door, he still slips his feet into these nightly and reminds me how much he likes them. :) Great Purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money, May 13, 2011

These UGGs are the ROCK STARTS of slippers! I was reluctant to spend so much on slippers, and I was not enthusiastic about the UGG brand because it is not that popular of a Men's brand. However, I work from home, so having good, comfortable slippers is important. I had a pair that I wore for a couple of years during the few cold months we have here in FL and they needed replacement.

I could not be happier about this purchase. Here, I sit 5 months later, currently working from home 3-5 days per week since I got them. Having a baby at home, we are home quite a bit on the weekends as well. Needless to say, these get a ton of use. They are such great slippers, that I also find myself yet wearing them in the warmer weather and not just during winter.

These UGGs are incredibly comfortable and sturdy. They also don't attract too much dirt like the cheaper brands, and the high quality, outer hide, still looks and feels brand new. These slippers are such high quality, they are a pleasure just to look at ..a work of art! The photos on Amazon don't do these justice. They are a little warm to wear in the FL summer, but I just kick them off if I am sitting on the couch and put them back on when walking around the house. They just make you feel like a king all day!

If having the best quality Scuff is important to you, and you want it to look phenomenal, keep you warm, be as comfortable as a dream, and last forever, then this is the product for you! I am sure there are Scuffs that cost much more than these that are not half as good. I have tried cheaper brands that are just not up to my high standards, and some less expensive brands might "do the job", but these are out of this world! Buying slippers online is not the easiest task, but folks, if you are considering these Scuffs, rest assured they are a sound purchase to say the least. The are sized correctly as well.

Through the years I've tried other brands of "hang around the casa" footwear, but always revert back to UGG as the brand makes the dogs happy. No slip tread, sheepskin lining that keeps your feet not only warm but dry and the fact that I can flick these suckers off in a heartbeat. Break in took a few minutes as the soles are rigid, but after that they feel like you're walking on air.

4.0 out of 5 stars They are great, March 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Before I bought these I saw mixed reviews including a bunch of guys saying they "lack support" and "the inner slipper loses comfort". I bought them despite these reviews and let me set everyone's mind at ease. These slippers are great. They do lose their "fluffiness" after a couple weeks (which should be expected) and aren't the most supportive things you'll ever wear, but they form great to your feet, keep them comfortable in any temp and are more than satisfactory. I've worn them in and outside, they're built very well and you'll be more than happy with them. Unless you're one of those reviewer's who, for some reason, expects slippers to provide Nike Air comfort. Great slippers and will buy again.

These slippers were a gift for my husand. He says they are the most comfortable slipper that he has even tried. The slippers only come in whole sizes. If the wearer normally wears a half size, buy the next size as they run a little small.

5.0 out of 5 stars He LOVES these!, July 7, 2008
I bought these for my husband for valentines day and he wears them at all times when he's in the house. Sometime's he forgets he's wearing house slippers and forgets to take them off when venturing outside. We live in Hawaii and it doesn't really ever get cold here but the slippers are light weight enough to still wear and not get sweaty feet. He loves them so much that he takes them with him on business trips; I think that says a lot.
