Wow, who could go past the price for this 25 piece camera accessory kit?! Not me, unfortunately. I am very much an amateur when it comes to photography, having just purchased my first digital camera (a Canon Powershot S5 IS). Nice camera, so thought that I would start amassing some accessories for it. That was when I came across this seemingly to-good-to-be-true offer.

To be frank, the accessory kit offered here is cheap in price, and cheap in quality. Both the telephoto and wide-angle lens are basically useless. I tried both on my camera and their quality, or rather lack of quality, shone through. The pictures were completely distorted, with serious frosting or whitening around the edges. I understand that that may be a problem at full zoom for similar lens, but my camera wasn't zoomed at all.

The filters are quite poor as well. As are the rechargeable batteries- the batteries and charger that I received look nothing like the one in the picture.

I don't know what to say about the memory card- the photo of it in the kit looks like a 'Sandisk' brand, although you will probably notice that the actual brand name does not appear in the photo (I wonder if the photo was doctored?). The card that turned up at my place was a cheap, generic card that doesn't look like the one illustrated, but it does work.

The bag is ok. The memory card reader is ok. The tripods are ok (although the big one is not particularly stable). Again, the cleaning kit looks to be of an el-cheapo quality and I am hesitant to use it on my camera.

All in all, as a kit, my ultimate recommendation would be: rotten, don't bother. The tripods, bag, and memory card may be of some use for the beginner photographer, but the rest of the kit leaves a lot to the imagination. Don't be fooled by the apparent value of the kit. Save your pennies up, especially if you are after useful lenses and filters- it'll be worth spending a little bit more on reputable brands like Canon (lenses) and Hoya (filters), in order to get markedly better results.

I was excited when this package arrived. As I started to look through it I found some of the equipment is useless to me. A 4GB SDHC card I can not use. My camera only uses SD cards. The lenses need special rings to attach to other lenses. Each lense can only be used alone. i.e. UV lense will not fit the Wide-angle or Telephoto lenses. To switch from Telephoto to Wide-angle or vice-versa requires a lot of work. I like the product but I am unhappy that a lot of the inconviences make it hard to shot quick shots.
Also the package did not arrive as it shows in the picture. All of the items were placed almost separately in the carton it came in.
