4.0 out of 5 stars Great Lanyard, but a bit long.
This is a fantastic lanyard. It is truely heavy duty and sturdy enough to carry a Sony PSP and case with no worries. The strap is as thick as it appears in the photos and is very comfortable. The break-a-way latch has to be the biggest one I've ever seen. Typically, I wonder about how well one of those buckles will hold up under a load, but not with this one. It only...

3.0 out of 5 stars Its nice
It seems well crafted but it is too long. I am 6 foot and my badge hangs to nearly my waist.

The break-a-way latch has to be the biggest one I've ever seen. Typically, I wonder about how well one of those buckles will hold up under a load, but not with this one. It only loses a star because of legnth. Some people may think that the longer the lanyard, the better, but if it's too long, whatever you are hanging from it bounces around too much. It bangs into your desk and any table you are sitting at. At least it's long enough to set whatever you are carrying on the table somewhat out of your way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great High Quality Lanyard - Highly Recommended!, March 27, 2010

This review is from: The ULTIMATE Breakaway Lanyard. Ideal For Holding ID Cards/Keys/Badge Reels. SOLD INDIVIDUALLY (Misc.)
This lanyard is just about perfect for my needs. Here are my observations:

+ High Quality; everything about this lanyard is well made and better than expected quality
+ Breakaway Strap; a serious safety benefit that protects you from neck injury if the cord should become caught
+ Removable Clip; allows badge (whistle, etc) to be easily removed and reconnected without needing to take off lanyard
+ Adjustable Slide; allows lanyard to be tightened or loosened

I am so confident with the quality of this lanyard that I trust my iPod Touch to hang from it. There really isn't anything negative to say about this one, which is a pleasant surprise!

Highly Recommended!

I bought the lanyard and when I received the item it was exactly as it was described by the seller. It's a great item and I would recommend to people looking for a basic lanyard that's reliable. If you lay the item flat from end to end it measures approximately 22 inches and is very lightweight. The breakaway feature works great it takes very little pressure to break and it won't unsnap unless you pull at it. I would recommend it to people working in healthcare settings or other settings that require the snap off safety feature.

This lanyard is just as sturdy as it appears in the picture. The strength of the product enabled me to use it not just as a base of support for my flash drive (the original reason that I made the purchase), but as a base of support for my camera case. I bought three of them and am glad that I did. This lanyard is well worth the money spent and I would definitely purchase it again if I need lanyards in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good change from the none braided ID lanyards, July 12, 2010

I bought this lanyard for my job, which is coincidently working at one of amazon.com's warehouses. The staffing agency that hired me only supplied the none braided flat fabric type lanyards that got slimy and gross after working 10 hours a day in the warehouse setting. So I came looking for a better lanyard and found this one, it fells very weird at first after switching from the fabric type I use to wear, but it's something that you have to get use to. But, after wearing it for a day useing it as a water bottle holder and mowing my lawn with this on (which as most people know, produces a lot of sweat) this did not fell grimmy or gross at all like the old lanyards I wore.

All in all this was a very good lanyard for the money and way better then the flat fabric type none braided ones, very well worth the money if you need one

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well, but badge is allowed to rotate, September 12, 2011

I use this to hang my badge from and it works pretty well. You can snap the badge free if you have to but if you worked in a machine shop, you'd want a breakaway version. The big problem is that the bottom freely rotates. That's fine except the badge is fond of rotating to face my chest instead of outward. Still it's a pretty good badge chain.

This is a heavy duty lanyard, purchased it for my corporate ID but found many other uses for it. At present I use it to hold my digital camera around my neck.

I'm a psychiatry resident and we were warned that we need to wear breakaway lanyards in case patients got too close. I looked through a few and this one seemed best for the money. The upside: it's durable and has a good attachment on the bottom. Downside: It's a little long, which some people may want. But being 5'7'', it came down to my waist, so my ID sat a little low. Also, if you want to attach anything else to the bottom (like a small ID holder) it becomes even longer. Also, the lanyard string is round, which makes it somewhat bulky. However, for the price probably can't get much better!

4.0 out of 5 stars A little long but still good, June 26, 2010

I got this for my work badge. It was a little long, and using the adjuster on the front doesn't make it very much shorter. Using it on the back cancelled out the breakaway feature. I wound up taking it apart and removing 5" of the cord so it didn't hang so low and so I could keep the breakaway feature intact. Would get 5 stars if it would have came with a lanyard attachment for cell phone, camera, PSP, etc.
