Contrary to the jaded review before mine, I loved this DVD. The video and sound editing was exquisite and far exceeded my expectations, and I don't even have HDTV. I am constantly showing this DVD to my friends. When we have house parties, we love to throw it in for good background visual and audio effect. Definitely sets a mood and gets you amped up for the next Ultra.... This doesn't completely capture the Ultra vibe, but it comes pretty close. My recommendation = money well spent!

Next Best Thing To Being at Ultra 2004!,

This DVD is a series of songs from live sets that were performed at the Ultra Festival during the 2004 Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida. 50,000 people came to see virtually every top DJ and electronic act in the world, and it was an incredible day. This DVD takes many of the highlights and brings them together in 5.1 surround: Rabbit in the Moon, Tiesto, Sander Kleinenberg, Junkie XL, Paul Van Dyk, The Kevins, Paul Oakenfold, and a bunch more. Most of this is trance or techno, but there are also bursts of drum n' bass, breaks, and other genres. As someone who was there I can say that this brings across the vibe of that day pretty well. But if you want the real deal, fly down for Ultra 2005 on March 26, 2005. It's Woodstock for people who like electronica and it should not be missed!

This is one of the few (if not the only) footage of UltraMusicFest on a DVD, recorded in more than decent quality. Some great sets on film. I would've preferred others DJ's to some shown on here, but it's understandable. Tiesto's 'traffic' set is looks and sounds great! Some cool PVD, and RabbitInTheMoon in here, too. The narrator/host is a douche- I bought this for about $4.00, i wouldn't pay for than $8 for it.

The first time I saw this movie I was tripping & it blew my mind because of the incredible music & visuals. I bought it later & realized that even sober, this is probably my favorite DVD out of the 100's that I own (even better than my favorite regular movie, Fight Club). It is always fun to watch & share with friends. For me, it never gets old. It's a good movie to put on during a party because you have the spectacular music as well as the amazing light show & watching the biggest DJs in the world do their thing. My favorite tracks are the 1st song, "Freedom" by Kevens because it is extremely relaxing & then the "Outer Body Experience" is just incomparable to anything else I've ever seen. You get to enjoy being hypnotized while you listen to an awesome song. Right after that is one of my other favorite parts: watching the guy (I think his name is DJ Keoki) with the straitjacket looking ensemble holding the TV with the ever-changing eye on it while the song plays "look into the eye" & "see yourself inside". It is cool on so many levels. The crowd shots are mind blowing because there are so many people there (at Ultra Music Festival 2004) & they all seem to be on relatively the same page (absorbed by the music, lights, & show). It's hard to put into words the effect that this movie has on people, but it's a good one. I highly recommend this to anyone & everyone, especially if you are looking for something to enjoy while tripping, rolling, stoned, etc. I have no complaints. Enjoy!

Hey, it entertained me. I don't care how they "shot" it or what they covered, as long as they did something (Ultra is Ultra). Its awsome and very sexy. What the hell ever happened to the 2005 Ultra DVD we were supposed to get? The ministry of sound annual dvds are good too.

Unlike the previous review by Brian..i was disappointed in the way this was filmed. I have been a DJ for 15 years and have been going to these shows for almost all of my life. The acts on this disk are enuff to leave even the most critical veterans of arena dance/live dj shos stunned...HOWEVER..the filming is amateur @ best and the quality is shoddy. I have a sony home theater system and this shoul have been a blitzkreig of phenominal music and sound. IT WASNT. There isnt enough focus on the Dj's or them doin what they do best...MIXING..Obviously BRIAN is just another candy raver who is easily entertained.Im sure you can find him @ a local gadzooks store buying his " Raver in a box" club gear. If you truley want the experience of being there..@ any live massive show..try www.grooveradio.com or www.moonshine.com or www.djmixed.com and check out what they have to offer. PLUR JEf
