Book Description

O Lord, what have I done to deserve this? I’ve been trying to make changes in my life, if you spare me I promise never to get involved with drugs ever again! I know that I am not a perfect person, and I’m sure that there’s somebody out there more worthy than me, but if you give me a chance I will make a difference, my family will not be able to understand this, please Lord! And at that moment I saw myself in a black casket surrounded by clouds…

This is a true story, I was inspired to write by a friend, he told me that, I have a story to tell and that it needs to be heard by young women today. Not many live to tell their story, or their too devastated by their circumstances to come forward and speak out to inspire others. It took me a long time struggling with self esteem and battling my own inner demons.

I wrote this book to inspire young girls and women to take control of their own lives, it’s so easy to stray off the path of what’s right. Fast money is very alluring and addictive, but if you choose this path very few survive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bless God ... March 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I am purchasing this book as I know that she did choose this route in life. But God ... has made a way to keep her and to allow her to be receive the message to write her story. I am overjoyed as we are connected through another beautiful young woman that I want only the best for, of course, my niece! I look forward to reading and promoting this book in order to bless her mightily in a righteous and holy way financially, but God's way!

I read this story because I knew of this woman's lifestyle when I was younger. I only knew of what I seen. Her beauty, the cars, the clothes, the attention! I am probably between 5-8 years younger than her and never knew her personally, but I know her little sisters whom she discusses of in this book. Her family resided across the street from me years back. I seen Stephanie on Facebook and sent her a friend request, she didn't even know me and accepted after I sent her a message that I was an old neighbor of her and her family and was actually interested in her little sisters well being. On her page was a the soon to be release "Unbroken Diary Of A Gangsta's Girl". I couldn't wait for it to be released, cause like I stated,I saw the lifestyle with my own eyes of this woman whom I didn't know, but knew of. This book is a must read, especially for women who are attracted by the lifestyles of today's streets! Powerful life changing experience for this woman! She is definitely inspiring! she shares the love, the hurt, the pain she endured, you can damn near feel it! Buy the book, read the story, help share the story! It is definitely a testimony!

5.0 out of 5 stars How I know that God is real... April 28, 2012
By Jkl
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Reading your story brought me to think about a verse from India Arie "that's how I know that God is real, all of this is not by chance" this is so true in so many ways. More than anything your book has given me insight on the fact that God honestly does have purpose for our lives... I just want to thank you Ms. Stephanie Powe for having such a big heart to share your story! I think this story needs to get out and be heard by others all over!

5.0 out of 5 stars TRANSPARENTLY AWE-INSPIRING March 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was captivating. Once I began reading I simply could not put it down. It is an excellent read for all readers across all demographics. What I didn't expect was to be brought to tears. I can still hear that song in my head.

Domestic violence is outlined throughout the novel both apparent and subtle. I hope this read will enlighten others and begin a dialogue regarding domestic violence issues.

I am patiently awaiting her next novel.

Thank you Stephanie Powe for being transparent and sharing your story.
