Makes securing and accessing your computer safe and simple,

My previous laptop had a built in fingerprint sensor, I became spoiled by the ease and security of just swiping my finger to log on. This product uses the same software that my laptop had, and I believe it's used by many computer manufacturers using fingerprint readers.
My current laptop a Toshiba Qosmio has face recognition that only works in bright light, even then it takes at least 10 sec. to "recognize" me. I gave up on it, too many bugs. This reader plugs right into a USB port. When not in use, the connector plug recesses with the cover that protects the sensor, so it's extremely portable. The one thing I've found, is I need to be careful with it sticking out of the USB port, I could see it being damaged if a heavy object were placed on the end of the reader with nothing under to support it, but the same is true with a flash drive. I wish my laptop had a built in reader, or that the Toshiba's "new" technology worked properly, but this is an excellent substitute. I've been using it for a couple of months now and haven't had any problems.

I bought this product because I want a fingerprint reader for my Mac. It works but only for the login password.
With the Mac version you cannot use it to enter passwords for internet sites.

Okay, I heard about computers having built in finger print scanners and thought, "well, what's really the point?"... But then I talked to a co-worker of mine who let me know what all these things could do. I had no idea that they could remember all your internet passwords and log ons... I didn't know you could use it to launch programs... But he told me all about it and since I'm a guy with numerous different log on names and passwords... Ranging in difficulty from 7 alpha characters to 32 alpha numeric with symbols, upper and lowercase... And the number of variations in log ons doesn't help my cause at all... This is the perfect solution. I remembers all my passwords and log on's for me. And if you have it set up just on the device, you can store 15 fingerprints and if you have it set up ro store on your PC, you can have however many you want. Since I'm the only one using the device, I went with on the device set up. Some people complained that they were worried about hurting their usb ports, well, the one I got came with a short little cable so you could sit it on a surface, I don't know if this was added due to suggestions or what, but with this, you can keep the pressure off your USB port if you are worried about it. I say it's a great product and I'm glad to spoil myself with it.
