UPPAbaby Vista Cup Holder

I love my Uppababy stroller, but I absolutely hate this useless cup holder. Since I bought this overpriced ($30) product over 3 months ago, it has broken off my stroller at least 4 times (twice with coffee in it...one of those times it spilled onto another customer in a store...not pretty!). There have also been several times it almost came off, but I caught it in time. My cousin also has an Uppababy and she bought a Jolly Jumper Stroller Caddy for only $12.99 and she loves it! Needless to say, I went out today and bought myself one, as I can no longer deal with the unuseable Vista cup holder. I'd return it for a refund if I could, but I no longer have the receipt. Whatever you do, don't waste your money on this product, as it will only cause you grief in the long run!

If you look at video you may easily figure out what this "holder" actually not hold anything.

While I love my UPPABABY stroller, I HATE the cupholder. Mine constantly fell apart. The little chains which attach to the bottom of the cupholder kept detaching. Also, they were not the same length, so the base tilted to one side. Also, it got caught and fell off numerous times while shopping in the mall, twice with a full drink in the cupholder. It also came off if I didn't detach it before putting my stroller into my trunk. If I hadn't thrown it into my messy garage one day in a fit of rage I would have returned it for a full refund. Well, maybe not. If I come across mine again I might first look for a steamroller to run it over. I really, really hate it. It would have been better to design a cupholder which fits on the inside of the stroller handle and is either soft like the Joovy parent organizer or sturdy plastic which has to be removed before folding the stroller. I wouldn't mind doing that.

DO NOT BUY THIS CUP HOLDER. If you need further convincing not to buy this item please read on...even though a detailed review is not necessary, I'll summarize the complete failure of this cup holder's purpose (to hold cups) with a few observations: It breaks, it falls apart, it spills your beverages, it isn't sturdy, it isn't reliable, it's awkward, it's unattractive, it's overpriced (!!!), and it's cheaply constructed. Most importantly, there are less expensive and vastly superior cup holder accessories available on Amazon. Again, just in case you missed the point of this review (and every other review)-DO NOT BUY THIS CUP HOLDER.

This thing is amazing. I put in a cup of coffee while taking my son for a walk. Thanks to the patented "spring bounce" action, the cup was clean of all coffee by the time we'd walked two blocks. I wouldn't have to clean the cup myself. Thanks, Uppababy! And the best thing? It never needs batteries, as it operates using the power of your own motion. Brilliant.

Being a parent doesn't leave you with much time for cleaning cups. If you've got some cups that need to be emptied, buy this cup holder and let the engineers at Uppababy solve your cup cleaning problems for you while you take care of your kid.

I understand that some of you purchased this product under the impression you would be able to keep a drink in it. I'm afraid you were mistaken. That's the bad news. The good news is you'll develop good arm muscle tone pushing the stroller with one hand.

The chain fell apart on this cup holder as many other customer alluded to. Instead of returning it, I went to Lowes and purchased some replacement chains where the links are welded together. 10ft section costs about $8. I spend about 30 min and replaced all of the chains and it now works very well. However, Uppababy should have used better quality material for something that costs $24.

Everything this company makes is stellar...except this cup holder.

After experimenting, I suggest trying either the Liquid Holster by Baby Jogger or the Valco Bevi cup holder. Both are universal and I believe the Liquid Holster even levels your drink.

I believe both are cheaper than the Uppa as well.

But DON'T let the cup holder scare you away from Uppa. They make my favorite strollers... :-)

This product is great if you have a water bottle but a latte, forget about it as you'll end of with it all over the side of your stroller. Only great on seamless paved floors. However if out on the sidewalk prepare to lose your investment in your 4 dollar treat.

Don't buy this! Total waste of money. Chains always break. Drinks spill. Cups break. Such a mess. Sticks out so far you can't fit through standard doorways. Go with a Jolly Jumper or Joovy Organizer instead. Save yourself the headache.

I love my stroller and was excited that they decided to make a cupholder. I like how the holder can fold up and be out of the way, but when it is down, I am constantly getting it caught on things. It is hard to put on, falls off all the time and the chains have come undone. Plus sometimes when I go to take my drink out, I end up pulling the entire cup holder off. I never use mine, it just floats around in the back of the car. I think Uppababy tried to design a cupholder that didn't completely change the look of the stroller, unfortunately the current cupholder doesn't work.
