These are actually REALLY uncomfortable. The hard plastic cuts into my sinuses. Adding some sort of padding around the cups makes it ALOT more comfortable. If you are doing some quick work, then I guess it'll be fine for you but if you have anything that'll take more than 2 minutes, add some padding around the cups. For those wearing these for costume pieces, do the same.

The goggles are perfect for work (i'm a hobby welder) but also for those who are looking for those goggles for Team Fortress 2 engineer cosplay. Must get! Great price too!
(thought it's a big greenish but some paint can cure that. But it's function as welding goggles...no question about it.

These are simple plastic goggles that will keep you from being blinded while welding and brazing. They do their job well enough. They do have considerable promise as part of a costume, however.

Identical to Hobart goggles but cheaper,

I bought these goggles and Hobart 770096 Welding Oxy-Acetylene Goggle - 50mm Eye Cup, figuring that one would be better than the other for a passive infrared goggle project. However, what I found was the both pairs were identical in every way -- right down to the markings from the injection molding machine and the blue stripes in the elastic band. The only difference is that the Hobart goggles come with more packaging (a hard plastic box) while the US Forge goggles come in a sealed printed plastic bag.
As goggles go, they are perfectly usable although not overly comfortable. The eye-to-eye spacing is adjustable with a beaded chain (if you shorten it, cut the tails so you don't bonk yourself in the eye like I did).

Faulty bridgepiece,

This was bought as a costume piece. It arrived very quickly, in just a few business days, in adequate packaging. The goggles contain two set of lenses, a clear set and a shaded set, which can be easily removed and replaced.
The only problem is that the bridgepiece (the part that connects the two halves just above the nose) consists of a string of metal beads (sorry, I'm not sure of the correct term) that thread through a hole on each side of the two halves, connecting them, and through the small black tube shown in the picture. This string does NOT hold. The goggles will sit on your face or head just fine, but the slightest stretching (for example, when you're pulling the goggles off or putting them on) will pull the metal beads out of the holes on the sides of the goggles, breaking the connection between the two halves. It requires needlenose pliers to fix and you have to take a lot of care when putting the goggles on and taking them off so as not to tug on the string of metal beads at all, otherwise the goggles will break again. As a costume piece that will only be worn a few times, it is a mild annoyance. If you were actually planning on using this for welding or any sort of work- or hobby-related activity, I would imagine that this would get old very fast.

For a lark, or a costume party, or to drive your grand kids crazy when they see you with them on. I use them when plowing snow on my tractor, these, along with a Mad bomber style hat,(you know, like the Russian hats with the big fur ear flaps) Your whole family will disown you. No one bother you the whole time your plowing, making the job much easier. I really like mine, great sun glasses for snow blindness, adjustable, inexpensive, fun,I'd buy another pair if anything ever were to happen to these. The look on peoples faces when they see you with these on is priceless.

These have a fun steampunk look. Highly recommended as a cheap costume accessory. I replaced the lenses with crazy custom lenses from etsy to take it to the max.

FYI: The goggles I received were dark forest green, not black like the photo might show. Still, I adore these goggles for fashion eyewear because the goggles unscrew to release the lenses (one clear, one tinted smoky brown). I've replaced them with wire mesh, colored lenses, and punctured and painted metal foil. The goggles are easily painted another color if you use a primer first.
Arrived quickly and responsibly. Such a great set of specs for the price.

I can't review these goggles for their intended use, but for costume use, they were perfect! Inexpensive, replaceable lenses, and adjustable band, I used them for an Engineer costume from Team Fortress 2.

My son wanted these goggles, he's going to make infra-red goggles out of them, but in the mean time, he really enjoys wearing them and calling himself a mad scientist.. lol Anyways, we're very happy with the product, it was as described, and the delivery was timely. Thanks!
