Product Description

Size: 9 x 5 x 2.75

The USA Pans Loaf Pan is constructed of aluminized steel, the material of choice for commercial bakeries. Loaf Pan measures 9 x 5 x 2.75 inch. The size and design of this pan makes it ideal for baking and forming bread but can also be used for some cakes and puddings. The metal thickness of this pan has been selected to allow for even heat distribution and maximum service life. An important and unique feature of this pan is its corrugated design. Corrugation maximizes the pans strength and prevents warping, denting and other effects of everyday use. Plus, it also minimizes surface contact which translates into evenly baked products that are easily released. No need for messy and unhealthy oil and grease. This pan is coated with Americoat. Americoat is a proprietary silicone coating. It provides a clear, non-stick, non-toxic baking surface, specially formulated for superior baking. It's FDA approved; it does not contain PTFE's or PFOA's. It is not recommended to exceed baking temperature of 450 degrees F. Easy care. To clean, simply wipe clean after use; soap and water are okay to use. It is not recommended that pan be washed in dishwasher because harsh chemicals can cause the non-stick material to breakdown in time. Dry pan completely, after cleaning. USA Pans is the newest line of bakeware developed by American Pan, the world's largest manufacturer of commercial bakeware. Pans are made of 65% recycled steel. Made in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Lifetime warranty. The maximum temperature for all USA Pans bakeware items is 450 degrees F and not 400 degrees F.

I do not usually write reviews but this product really stands out from the rest. I am an artisan baker and have gone through several sets of bread pans over the years. None of them have been particularly remarkable. No non-stick surface has been particularly good after a few uses. I have returned several sets of pans which didn't live up to expectations. These pans are the exception. Heavy duty is an understatement here, these pans are built like a mack truck. They are beautifully crafted and could easily stand up to a lifetime of use. The non-stick surface works beautifully, and my breads, even those dessert breads with brown sugar, literally fall out of the pan. The breads are evenly baked on all sides as well as the bottom. Forget about all the other pans, these are the best. Be sure not to use non-stick sprays in them as the lecithin will degrade any non-stick surface. Also of course hand wash and never use abrasives. An excellent value! Happy baking!!!

I have baked now over 100 loaves in these pans and they look the same way they did when they arrived. Perfect. My experience with pans of any sort is the thicker, the heavier, the better. These are thick, heavy and better than the ones I had been using to bake my bread, and the quality of the loaves show it. I have used the same whole wheat recipe I used with my cheapo pans where loaves falling in the center was an intermittent issue. Not one loaf has turned out shy of perfection with the USA pans. These pans are made the way I wish everything I owned was, that is hefty-well made, perfect looking, perfect working, and MADE in AMERICA !!! Replacing ALL of the rest of my baking pans and sheets with USA made ones is just around the corner. If you bake your own bread, or would like to start, bake with the best pans there are, USA PANS !!! };>{>

I have a USA Pans loaf pan measuring 9x5 across the top -- this isn't it. What gets shipped to you when you order a "9x5" pan is actually 9-1/2 x 5-1/2 at the top, 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 at the bottom.

If you want a loaf pan that measures 9x5 across the top, edge to edge, order the next size down (8-1/2 x 4-1/2).

I've been using Williams-Sonoma Goldtouch loaf pans for years, and I recently decided to get a few larger pans. When I went to buy them, I saw that they're USA Pans and decided to look up the company. After doing a bit more research, I found out that these are the same pans as those sold at Williams-Sonoma (i.e., made by the same company and with the exact same technology), just not as "pretty." So I bought these and couldn't be happier - the bread comes out exactly the same as with my Goldtouch pans (very even baking and completely non-stick), but without the premium pricing.

I make banana bread about once a month and I just can't believe how wonderful these pans are. Nonstick spray is not necessary as the ridges in the pan make for a quick release system. The pan is coated with some kind of special silicone so you never need to spray these pans. Hand wash is recommended to maintain the coating but it is super easy to wash them as everything just slides right off. Wonderful, wonderful pan.

Do you bake breads, make meatloaf, or use a loaf pan for other things? How many times have you been disappointed by their performance? They all seem to scratch, dent, burn stuff (because they're THIN), and the "nonstick" gets ruined real quick! These USA large loaf pans are NOT like that at all, but will be the LAST you ever buy! This loaf pan is the longest one they offer and is so heavy and so well made you will be amazed! These pans release immediately, brown evenly, and the nonstick is PERMANENT! If you're sick of burning stuff or replacing flimsy bakeware all the time, just give one of these "USA Pans" a try! They have an large selection of all sizes.

I've wrestled with all types of loaf pans, and baked a lot of bread. Hands down, these pans are the ones I would recommend to anyone frustrated with loaves tending to stick. The loaves slide right out and have a beautiful golden brown crust. The inside of the bread is done, but not dry. I'm a happy baker!

One quick word of advice; go to the USA Pans company website and learn about how they recommend to take care of their products. Follow their guidelines, take care of the pans and you'll be baking consistently with a smile on your face. I have my eye on several other products from this company, and will probably be replacing most of my bake-ware a few pieces at a time.

Happy baking!

All of these USA pans, regardless of shape, perform extraordinarily well - easily the best
available. Trust me, I've tried zillions. Key points:

The coating WORKS.

The coating is soft - no dishwasher, no scrub pads, no scrub brushes. Use a dishrag, rinse with
hot water (this is all you need when new) or use your fingers to remove any debris.

Do not bother to flour, oil or otherwise "pre-treat". Breads, muffins, etc. will release
easily. Normally they will just fall out. Will muffins I fairly frequently have to let
them cool for a few minutes, invert the pan and rap it sharply on the counter (dish towel
protected).

I have pie, 2 bread, several sheets, jelly roll and muffin pans. I gave away every other
non-stick I owned.
