The Zoom Bluetooth adapters plug into a laptop computer or PDA to provide a wireless connection to another Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a modem, mobile phone, headset or peripheral. Zoom Bluetooth adapters are Class 1 Bluetooth devices; this allows them to provide a range of up to 100 meters (330 feet) and support the maximum allowed Bluetooth data throughput of 723,000 bits per second.The Model 4310BF is a USB adapter which can plug the USB port of either a Windows or Macintosh computer. The 4310BF is Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR compliant, supports the newest Bluetooth multi-media profiles including A2DP, and is RoHS Lead-free. It implements the Bluetooth Piconet protocol which supports concurrent connections with up to seven other Bluetooth devices.

i bought this to work with the platronics voyager 510 headset for use on my computer mainly to SKYPE. this was so easy to set up and has been working great. good range as it picked up bluetooth signals from neighbours.
i haven't used it with other bluetooth items as yet although it claims to allow multi link up with any other item.
i would say a pretty good buy for the money, it's slim, lightweight and an added bonus of the usb extening cable allowing you to move it to a more apropiate and safe position, ie. blue tac it to your laptop lid.
Value for the money.

I bought this product mainly for use with my plantronics voyager 510 headset for my computer to use VOIP applications, namely Skype.

Easily paired and over the last 4 months or so it's worked great. There are many bluetooth connection profiles it supports, but I've only made use of the headset profile.

Has an extra application that ties it in with Skype. (Sorry, I don't know the specifics of what it's doing this for).

I start skype and call someone, and the first ring I hear thru my speakers and then Skype and the bluetooth software is smart enough to know to transfer the sound to my bluetooth headset. very nice feature. (not sure if this is skype or the included software for the Zoom USB bluetooth of which is made by Toshiba).

Works as advertised for me.

This product works great. I previously had a class 2 adapter, and whenever anyone used the microwave oven at work, I'd lose audio. Since switching to this device, I haven't had any problems with the microwave even when standing next to it.

One thing to note, however, is that this adapter comes with the Toshiba Bluetooth stack. It (the Toshiba stack) supports avrcp, but apparently it doesn't work with iTunes. (i.e. You can't play/pause or control tracks.)

I switched to the BlueSoleil stack, and everything works as expected now. If you use iTunes, I suggest you buy a different adapter that has the BlueSoleil stack included. But the adapter itself does its job, and does it well.
