I bought the cable hoping to download pictures from my phone. I was hoping to not have to buy the micro chip, but thee cable will not work unless the chip is installed. I checked with the manufacturer, and they agree. The chip is necessar if you want to use the picture part of the LG Xenon phone.

The item was shipped very fast. But what disappointed me was that the wire kept disconnecting when i pulled it into my phone. The slightest movement would disconnect the wire.

This simple cable works exactly as described. I was able to freely transfer data to and from my cell phone via a Windows XP PC. Mac OS (I run 10.5) is not supported, but that's not the fault of the cable manufacturer.

No claims are made on the product page that this can be used for charging but I was hopeful that I could use it to charge via computer as well as a couple usb car and home chargers I had laying around. No such luck with the computer (mac or pc) or the aftermarket usb chargers. But as a data cable, this works out just fine.
