IF YOU WANT TO PASS STEP 3?,
By
This review is from: USMLE Step 3 Qbook (Kaplan USMLE Qbook) (Paperback)
If you only buy one book I recommend getting this one.
The text is complete and the format of the questions is very similar to the real test. If you have a particular area that you need to brush-up this book is great too. The sections are divided nicely into 1) Internal Medicine 2) Neurology 3)Obstetrics/Gynecology 4)Pediatrics 5)Psychiatry and 6)Surgery. Each section has several practice test for you to get your timing down and firmly nail down the most common questions. The explanations are up to date and make sense. I saw maybe one small typo which was not a big deal. Kaplan did a real good job with this book.

Kaplan Qbook Step 3,
This review is from: USMLE Step 3 Qbook (Kaplan USMLE Qbook) (Paperback)
Great book to build your concept and confidence. Main purpose is to learn from the questions/answers. Then move on to USMLE World.

Outstanding Step 3 review,
This review is from: USMLE Step 3 Qbook (Kaplan USMLE Qbook) (Paperback)
Contrary to one review, the questions are incredibly well thought out, cover a wide range of HIGH-YIELD material, and are set up exactly like the real step 3 questions (COMLEX and USMLE).
CLEAR explanations of why each answer is right or wrong solidifying your learning.

Adequate,

This review is from: USMLE Step 3 Qbook (Kaplan USMLE Qbook) (Paperback)
Given the typical time crunch we experience as interns prepping for Step 3, this book was an adequate resource for the exam. It is nicely divided into sections which allows you to focus your preparation. I'm a pediatrics intern and was able to focus on internal medicine and Og/Gyn sections (things I haven't dealt with as a resident). The format was similar to the exam; however, I found the sample questions on the USMLE CD to be much closer to the real thing.
I used this text and Crush and felt adequately prepared. No surprises on the exam.

Quesions were average and overall low yield. As a huge fan of the Kaplan line for years (MCAT, Step 1, Step 2), I was really dissapointed with this offering. You would better spend your time doing USMLE World questions on line than with this book.

I find this book quite good for the exam. However, I feel that more supplements should be used if want to score high.

Awesome for USMLE review. But the best review is actually knowing it in the first place.
