I have a marlin 795 (10 round semi-auto). This 'dovetail-to-weaver/picatinny' rail conversion worked perfectly for mounting an NCStar tactical scope. The length was perfect, the quality is outstanding, a hex wrench was included. I'm finding UTG makes GREAT stuff at a GREAT price. I bought a short UTG bi-pod for the Marlin as well, and it is a likewise outstanding value ... just went to a gun show, and the same stuff was selling for much more from other names.

My pellet rifle, a .22 caliber crosman 2260,only accepts a specific type of scope mount. it left much to be desired on the types of scope set ups I could install. I purchased this weaver adaptor and installed it. All I can say is that it has been excellent! I mounted a bugbuster scope, and it is rock solid.Tree rats are history within 40 yards. Armadillo's dont stand a chance either. Head shots at 25-30 yards puts an end to all the digging. You couldnt ask for a better mounting system!

My Marlin 795 had a short factory dovetail slot. The UTG adapter allows you to mount the scope further back for proper eye relief (the rear tab can overhang off the rear). It also allows me to use a couple of my scopes that have quick release AR mounts on them. I like the fact that it has a set screw that pins it to the top of the receiver. I drilled a shallow dimple in the top of the receiver so this thing will never move. I've bought some pretty decent stuff from UTG. Don't discount their stuff just cause it is cheap.

Solid and Fairly Low Seated Mount,

Bought for a long eye relief conversion on a Mosin 91/30. Originally I planned to use one of the mounts that have rings built in, but most are either high or what's termed medium that is still way to tall for most folks. The scope is the usual NCStar 2-7x32, (bought here on Amazon for a lot less than Ebay when you factor in shipping). So I wanted a low mount for cheek weld NOT chin weld ! Well this mount and scope arrived and the workmanship was good. I have always had good luck with Leapers/UTG/Accushot products. I noticed that this mount has a threaded hole for an airgun style stop pin. That's great news. After marking the base on the rifle, I used a 1/8" drill bit and made a somewhat shallow dimple in the base for the stop pin to anchor in. Mosin's are legendary for recoil. After applying some blue Loc-Tite, I cinched the mount onto the base provided by rear sight removal on the Mosin. The fit was great and this mount is almost the EXACT same length as the Mosin's flat base ! Added some B-Square low utility rings (4 screws per ring), bore sighted and took it to shoot the next day. Shot a total of 30 rounds through it and had zero movement on rings or mount. BTW, I allowed some lookers to shoot app. 15 of the 30 shots to save my shoulder in a T-shirt ! Anyway, it turns out to be an excellent mount in fit, finish and price. Almost forgot, you can look around online for a walk through to remove the rear sight assembly on the 91/30. Under the sight is a flat base that is almost exactly 3/8 inch, same width as a standard rimfire dovetail. Because of recoil, mounting rings on this "base" is usually impractical. One may be able to use airgun style rings with stop pin to basically accomplish the same effect. I have my doubts about the durability of doing that tho ! It would seat the scope even lower if it works.

Mounted this rail on a Marlin 60. I needed a way to mount a red dot on the rifle and this looked like a good option. Used blue locktight on all mounting screws and have had no problems with the mount. Works great, no regrets.

i put this on my 12 gauge turkey shotgun so i could mount a red dot scope. i was worried because it was made for an air gun or .22 it wouldn't hold up to the 3" magnum turkey loads and slugs i put through my gun and the mount has been solid. who knows why they put a 11mm rail on a shotgun but this adapter from UTG allows me to use real scopes. i used locktight 242 to secure all the bolts and i think that helps. i have no complaints. its cheap, its simple and it works. definitely will try more UTG product

didnt have a whole lot of choices but it gets the job done. i have a mossberg 702 plinkster .22 lr and it only excepts "dovetailed" optics and rails and such. and stupid me purchased a UTG LEAPERS RED DOT SIGHT on amazon for like $30 but little did i realize it attaches to "weaver"/"picatinny" so after it arrived at my house and i figured out i did not fit i went back online to look for a dovetail to weaver adapter to find this. it works and its a decent price on [...]for 7.50 plus free shipping. but it raises the optic like in inch higher then it normally would. i would like to see them make a slimmer model.

Great little product and the price was right. Used this weaver adapter to mount my scope on a 22 rifle. It works as advertised, just perfect.

First, I want to give more background to better explain just how well this scope mount adapter works.I bought this for a .22 caliber Gamo CFX spring piston air rifle, powered by the Air Venturi/Crosman gas ram. Anyone familiar with spring piston air rifles knows about the whiplash double recoil that can really give both scopes and scope mounts a real battering. When I had the gas ram installed over a year ago, those problems revealed themselves for the first time on this particular rifle. The scope itself had no problems, but it did rapidly slide rearward in the rings slightly more with each succeeding shot, spoiling my eye relief and zero, all due to the much more aggressive recoil from the gas ram. The aluminum B-Square rings were already clamped down as far as I could take them, but that was not stopping the scope slide rearward. I tried wrapping a turn of tennis racquet handle tape around the scope tube under each ring, which did stop the rearward slide, but my zero still wandered. I also discovered that the rings were sliding rearward on the aluminum base that came with the rifle, even though I had both rings' stop pins engaged in the matching holes on the top of it. In fact, the rings were sliding rearward on the base so severely that the stop pins were badly mangling the base in the process! Obviously, I needed much stouter rings that would not allow the scope to skid within them. I also needed a completely different base system for those rings. The solution that came most readily to mind was the decades old and time tested Weaver ring/base system. I ordered a pair of stout steel Leupold PRW rings of the Weaver configuration. I also made a mistake by ordering a B-Square adapter that would replace the now mangled aluminum base on my Gamo, converting it over from an 11mm rail to a 7/8" Weaver base. The B-Square adapter would have been perfect...if it had not had an elevation adjustment feature that had no positive lock to keep it from wandering. The B-Square adapter shifted upward at the front with each shot, making it completely impossible to maintain a zero for even ONE shot. No amount of tightening, Loctite, and cursing would keep it locked down. Finally, even though it was constructed entirely of steel, the front clamp screw stripped out. That was when I turned to this, after I had a somewhat lengthy phone call with a support person at another vendor. I learned that this adapter would fit my rifle and was non-adjustable, but I was surprised to see that it cost less than 1/4 what they wanted for the crummy B-Square adapter. I just mounted it today, firing about thirty shots to get it sighted in and test for how well it holds. Before I started the shooting, I made pencil lines on the scope tube right up against the front edge of each ring to check for scope slide rearward that would be readily apparent if the lines moved under the ring. Great! there was absolutely no evidence of the scope sliding rearward anymore. I also was pleased to see that the stop pin on this adapter was working perfectly, and the clamps had held just as well. Also, since this is a Weaver system, the problem of mount deformation was completely halted because of that system's inherently rugged recoil grooves. I have three comments about this system: 1) It is constructed of aluminum, but the screw holes for the clamp run the full width of the adapter, meaning nearly a full 7/8" of thread to engage the clamp screws, which means a very rugged area of strength in the area that counts most. Very impressive. 2) The removable clamp plate is reversible to fit two different width receiver grooves, so you will want to be sure to check both ways before you decide to clamp it all down permanently. 3) I would strongly advise that you fully disassemble all the parts of the adapter, then degrease them. Then, when you mount it on your rifle, use the removable Loc-Tite (Uncle Mike's sells one perfectly suited for the job labeled "Gun-Tite") in the recoil pin screw hole and in both clamp screw holes. Allow the whole thing to cure overnight before shooting, and that will assure that you don't knock the screws loose. This new mounting system is so rugged and immovable that I had my scope zeroed in faster than I have ever been able to do before. It just goes to show that some times, the best solution is the most affordable. Mission impossible? Nah! Mission accomplished! ***UPDATE*** I have a couple of observations about this adapter rail. First, it is rather short, making for very little room allowing fore and aft positioning of the scope within its rings. Because of that, it would probably work best either with a scope with unusually short eye relief (2.5"), or one of the compact scopes, such as this excellent Leapers "Bug Buster": UTG 4X32 Mini Size AO Mil-Dot RGB Illuminated Scope Another solution would be to use a separate scope stop, such as this one: Gamo Scope Stop, Rubber Bumper, 11mm Dovetail You can put one of these behind the adapter rail to prevent rearward skid, while at the same time positioning the adapter another inch or two forward, enough to afford the proper scope eye relief. Also, while the scope stop screw worked alright, I decided to modify the adapter some by drilling out and tapping the stop screw hole to fit the much stouter stop screw from my Gamo's stock mounting rail. Since this is made of aircraft aluminum, the drilling and tapping was a snap, and now I have a bit more confidence in its strength.

Fits the Mosin 3/8" Dovetail sight fixture perfectly,

I didn't seen any reviews which indicated this, but I took a chance and purchased the item with the idea of trying it. Well, it fits perfect on the exposed 3/8" "dovetail" metal sight fixture once you remove the front sight of the Mosin. Goes on easily and just a drop of lock tite on each threading hole makes this a perfect rail conversion for the Mosin in my opinion. Looks rock solid. Now if I can only find the high power mag. long eye relief scope!
