This red/green dot is great.

The rheostat also works freely and properly and both the red and green dots are easily seen in the bright Arizona desert sun.

This red/green dot is great. The brightest setting of green is visible even in the bright Nevada desert of the summer. The two quick release latches can be tightened down so you have no movement at all, but with the ability to take the sight off your weapon very quickly. The elevation right/left adjustments are protected by a threaded cap, and you need a tool (allen wrench) to move the dial. For further protection against loss of your zero, the dial has a locking device that can be tightened down so no movement is possible.

For the price, you really can't be this.

Actually it's a mite soon to review this as I've only put about 200 rounds down range with it mounted. If warranted I'll do a follow up at a later date. I mounted this on a Polish AK with milled receiver and on an AIM top rail that fit the AK like it was made for it. After placing the DS3068 at the front of the rail, I bore sighted it for 75 yards. No problems with the adjusting turrets or mount. The QD mount works like a champ and the elevation and windage turrets move freely with audible clicks and a tactile feel. The rheostat also works freely and properly and both the red and green dots are easily seen in the bright Arizona desert sun. (you don't have to crank them all the way up either.)
Out on the desert, I re-sighted the rifle for 100 yards. So far, and all during the 200 or so rounds fired, the unit has maintained it's zero. I even dismounted it and put it back on and it was still zeroed.

I might mention here that the instructions clearly state that the scope comes with the turrets locked. It specifically states to loosen the 4 lock screws 1/4 turn and not more or you run the risk of the cap falling off. Done properly there is no trouble in adjusting this scope. I also re-locked the turrets when I finished.

One last thing. Others have mentioned the lens caps and had less than stellar things to say about them. I could not agree more. It's nearly impossible to open the front one without the whole thing sliding off the scope. As for the rear lens cap...mine lasted somewhere around 60 or so rounds when I felt something hit my shirt. The hinge pin and spring (where ever they may be) departed and the flip up cover remained with me. This is why the 4 and not 5 star rating. I feel if it's included it is the makers responsibility to see to it that it's of at least reasonable quality. So there you have it scope a big yea (so far) the lens caps a resounding nay.

The key to being happy with a product is in applying it right. Obviously, I wouldn't recommend this product if you are a competition grade shooter - however for plinking and popping, it's a quality piece that deserves a good shake.
Cosmetically, it's decent. 6.8" is an aggressive looking red dot, and you're not out a months wages to get it.
The removable flip up caps are a neat gimmick, but a gimmick. They likely won't flip so smoothly if you're out with it every weekend all summer long. They come off, and the piece itself is fairly well constructed.

The only real complaint I would have is, as mentioned, dot ghosting. I was hoping that there had been maybe a bad batch, or a few isolated ones but it does appear to be a design issue. Good news is, the easiest way to relieve the problem is to set yourself abit further back. If you already rest abit back from your optic (More than most let's say), you might never have the problem.

Didn't cost me alot. Will work absolutely fine for long enough that it won't owe me anything.

I have this on my AK mounted on a NCstar side rail. It fits up nice and solid. The QD handles can be tightened to get a real solid mount which is nice. The size looks right on an AK too. The red dot looks nice and clean at any brightness setting. The green dot is a little more sloppy, but useable. Overall, for the price i am pleased. It holds zero, and its much more consistant than using AK iron sights.

Product is well made and seems durable. Mounts were easy to use and seem sturdy and adjust. Overall, a nice looking scope. The dots are very bright and adjust easily. The only negative is that the green dots seem more a cluster of smaller dots rather than one large, well defined dot. However, this is minor especially when one considers the price. I haven't shot with it yet, but I have owned Leapers scopes for over 10 years (one has been on a 300 WinMag all that time and has withstood over 400 shots without losing zero)and I expect it to be just as good. Is it an Acog or a Aimpoint PRO? No! However, it's still better than anything you will get for the same price or even twice as much!

This is a great little red dot that can take the punishment of a mossberg 500 12 gauge, but looks better on an AR15. Holds zero very well.

Kinda impressed with this scope. Well built, with a bit of weight and locks down rock solid on my Mosin Nagant. Well suited for those thick woods where deer like to bed down in. As the majority of my experience comes from hunting with smooth bore flintlocks, the scope was sighted in for 60 yards. Unlike a round ball, the match grade 7.62x54R,203 grain SP round from the Mosin at this distance is still rising, which means that I don't have to compensate for bullet drop. The round hits where the red dot sits every time. Around 150 yards, 5 round groups are so so, but not a problem as the intention is to use this scope for ranges under 100 yards. Beyond 100 yards, it's swapped out for the Scout scope to hunt the transition zones....
