4.0 out of 5 stars great shotgun
I recently purchased this shotgun. It is much better than my old Intimidator shotgun. The first pro you will see with this shotgun is the weight and quality. The shotgun is heavy, and I like that. Beware however, that the weight is only because of various lead blocks that are put inside the gun to add weight. You will then see the various weaver rails. This is good...

3.0 out of 5 stars not bad for the money
if you want a really good airsoft gun, prepare to shell out >$100...this one is a good middle-of-the-road option, though it did misfire more that i would've liked. it's fairly accurate ~ my nephew could even hit aluminum cans shooting from the hip. all in all, not bad for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars great shotgun, April 14, 2006

I recently purchased this shotgun. It is much better than my old Intimidator shotgun. The first pro you will see with this shotgun is the weight and quality. The shotgun is heavy, and I like that. Beware however, that the weight is only because of various lead blocks that are put inside the gun to add weight. You will then see the various weaver rails. This is good for mounting lasers and scopes. Next, you have the adjustable hop-up. Now it is time for performance. When the hop-up is all the way down, .12s float up, and .20s go perfect. So it appears that this gun is made for .20s and up. I think you may actually be able to use .28s. The range is superb, I don't have an exact, but it is well over 80 feet. Now to the power. The FPS isn't as good as my intimidator, but I believe its not that far off. I was amazed by the accuracy, and I put a sight on mine. I am going to adjust the hop-up so the bb slightly rises, so it matches the sight. I would recommend this to any airsofter, and there are way more pros than cons. The only cons so far is that the possition of the collapsable stock is level to the barrel. This may not seem like a problem, but it makes it dificult to use the barrel as a sight, and that is why a sight was needed to be purchased. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because of the lack of FPS compared to the intimidator, and the stock. The only other reason is that you can buy better quality shotguns, like the marui ones. Those shotguns cost $200, so that doesn't really count. HAPPY AIRSOFTING!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it All The Way, April 1, 2006
A Kid's Review
This gun rules in airsoft wars.

Pros:
Heavey weight
Very powerful (330fps with a .12, 260fps with a .20)
Accurate
Comes with extra magazine and speedloader
Fast ROF (rate of fire) for a spring gun
Long range
Slam firing option (hold down the trigger and pump the gun to shoot)-not recommended but fun anyways

Cons:
No sights

So as you can see, this gun is really good. The pros far outweigh the cons, which is a good reason to get this gun. Oh yeah, and you can get this gun off Airsplat.com for cheaper and with the extras I mentioned above; that's what I did. Best springer on the market and my main weapon. Oh yeah, I'm not under 13, I'm actually 15; I was just too lazy to sign up. Hope this helped.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easily Comparable to Tokyo Mauri..., May 1, 2007
Wow.
I just bought this gun last Saturday (april 21)...and i got it about an hour ago (may 1).
This, by far, is not only the coolest looking, but it is the most powerful for the price; And like i said, easily comparable to Tokyo Mauri in quality.
The Utg 870 Cqb Retractable Shotgun is great for airsoft wars...while i haven't used mine in one yet, (this weekend i will) my friend has one and i know how it works. I would reccomend, despite what it says in the manual, to use standard .12g pellets. It says to use .20 Neon fire specialty ground...but this is reduces the range for the about the same effect as .12g.

Pros/Cons

+Awesome looking- tactical jet black, also heavy on hand at 4 pounds
+Cool features- tri rails, retractable/removable stock, sling, adjustable hop up, 2 clips (plus mine came with the hi-cap 170 round mag for free!)
+Powerful- 330 fps w/ .12g, 260 fps? w/ .2g
+Cheap- only 28 bucks for the quality, near tokyo mauri

-None?

My friends and i all have serious guns and this easily stands up to them. SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Gun!, March 19, 2007
A Kid's Review
This gun is amazing. It was my first airsoft gun and its worth the price.

Pros:
Pretty durable, would withstand being droped and beat (not recommended)

Is very accurate

Looks good

Fires at about 280 fps with .20 gram bb, i havent tried any other bb's

Pump easy to cock or whatever

Rails make the gun easily customizable

Ajustable hop-up

Realistic wieght

Retractable stock

Cons:

No ironsights:(

Stock and pump a bit wobbly but will not affect performance

Cheap strap, to get the strap to stay on ,put it on and put saftey pins on the ends(youll see what I mean)

Magizines do not load last 2 bb's(can be solved by turning the gun upside down and pumping it)

Overall this is a great gun!I suggest bying a red or green dot scope to aim better. Great for beginners or expiernced players!

5.0 out of 5 stars Durable, accurate and simple, March 8, 2007
By
Alexander (Michigan, USA) - See all my reviews
I did a lot of searching for the right airsoft gun. I had settled on these shotgun models because they're the easiest to reload and I knew they would be durable. In the shotgun range, I chose this model because its stock is easily retractable and somewhat removable (with some work).

This thing has fantastic stability and weight to it (because of inserted heavy metal rods) and is well built from tough plastic and metal. It shoots very accurately and with a great deal of power. I gave my roommate a nice welt - exactly where I'd intended - through a pair of baggy sweat pants.

The only con is one that affects most airsoft guns. The last 2-3 pellets will have to be loaded by flipping the gun upside down. With an expanded magazine this will be an issue once every 180 shots.

I could not be happier with my choice.

Note, my shipment came from hobbytron and it shipped with an expanded magazine and a speed loader. I ordered these items separately, not knowing this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very High quality gun!, April 21, 2007
But, don't bother with Amazon's recommendation to buy it with an extra high-capacity magazine. It already comes with one! Having two is pointless.

This gun feels, looks, and works great. It is incredible accurate with 0.20g BBs, which travel perfectly straight without any hop-up for over 50 yards. However, it is difficult to aim the gun when firing rapidly by holding down the trigger and pumping and difficult to hit a target first shot because no scope is included. Purchasing a laser or sniper scope might be a good investment.

You wont be dissapointed with this gun!

4.0 out of 5 stars nice battle weapon, December 10, 2007
This is an awesome airsoft weapon. it hurts realy bad if you are hit up close, the clip size is awesome, and you can use a feature called"slam fire."believe it or not, half the kids on my block own this gun.how?have you ever seen those shotguns in stores that are clear crosman shotguns, sold in sets with pistol and in avariety of colors?well, those are it.ill tell you the pros and con and a short story

pros:

inexpensive, about the most cost efectiive weapon i can think of.

high clip load.ive neverhad to go through more than the large clip and the little backup clip in one engagement.

very common. me and my friend benny are always fightign side by side,so it pays to be able to share clips

cons:
a little bit low durability, just dont abuse it.still stronger than most guns

short war story:one day me my friend Benny and my brother Chris.
we were going to go meet some kids in a heavily forested area for an airsoft battle. we were wearing camofluage.me and benny had these type of guns, my bro had an lpeg.turns out they had planned to ambush us.we used our slam fire feature to knock down our attackers.my friend had just got his gun, and he had just his 20 rounder.
Benny was out of ammo and cornered.Chris lit them up but his gun made that "my lpeg is giving out." noise.they were about to be captured, and they were hoping i would intervene

i used my guns handy double shooting feature to shoot them multiple times.
by then Benny was safely out of the way and Chris had got his pistol out.
this gun saved our team.

so overall buy this gun whenever possible.youll never find anything better at this price.take care of it and it will last as long as any gun can.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definately worth the money., November 17, 2006
Even though it is spring, I definately like this gun. It is one of the most expensive spring shotguns around, but definately worth it if you are looking for a spring shotgun.
There aren't any bells and whistles other than a high cap magazine and a speedloader. However it feels very solid and has mounting rails for scope, laser and flashlight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing gun!!, April 23, 2008
A Kid's Review
This gun is awesome
It was so much more than i expected
one thing i had a problem with is that i dont think its quite 330 fps
feels more like 300 (and has a tough time piercing cans.
Still amazing though, its actually a good thing its not as powerful as i though, because if it was then my cousin miight not want to war with me.
It still gave him some nice welts though hehehe
Everything about this gun is absolutely perfect to me except for one thing, this versions stock makes it very hard to aim, and this gun has no sights, i suggest getting a red dot sight for it (which im workin on) or getting one of the other versions which are a little easier to aim.
As I said GREAT gun and to me its perfect great feel, strong, accurate, easy functionality.
If you have the little money that this gun costs GET IT

p.s Im 14

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Shotgun!!! Very durable. Great distance. A few small problems though... READ THIS REVIEW!!!, January 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: UTG Everblast CQB Special Ops Airsoft Shotgun (Sports)
First, this shotgun is very durable and most of the middle section of the gun is actually metal, which I was not expecting. It also has excellent range when used with the right caliber and hop up settings. I would say it can shoot effectively up to about 120 feet. Now thats with one bb, if you load two or three, its range comes to about 80 feet, which leads me to another fact about this gun. when I bought this gun, I was not aware of the "multi-shot" line of airsoft shotguns. If you are looking for an actual "shotgun" that is made to shoot more than one bb at a time per pump, then go for something like the UTG Multi-Shot Combat Tactical Shotgun, which has three barrels inside of the outside barrel to shoot three bbs at a time, creating the wanted "spread affect". I did not know that this existed when i bought this gun so I was very disappointed when a few days later i find out about "multi- shot". This problem can easily be solved by simply loading two or three bbs into the chamber at once. The only downfall to this method is that the spread can vary dramatically.

When I was about to order this gun, I was planning on buying the hi cap mag and a speed loader to go along with it. It is only by luck that I forgot to add those to the cart when I processed the order. Afterwards though, when I got the gun, I found out that it comes with a hi cap mag and speed loader! and not the cheesy tube and stick kind, it was a real speed loader. The shipping was excellent for me, I did the 2-day prime shipping and arrived in exactly 2 days!

Another great thing about this gun is that you can use it "akimbo style" meaning that you can hold this and another gun in each hand and still be able to reload without using the other hand. Since the gun is so heavy (about 5 lbs.) you can easily toss it up in the air, catch it on the foregrip, and pump it with one hand. I use this to my advantage all the time, as I have a co2 semi automatic pistol that I hold in one hand and the shotgun in the other. The only thing I would advise is that if you are planning on using this shotgun akimbo style, buy the full stock version. It would be easier to throw into the air and catch on the grip. With this gun it is pretty difficult to catch it on the pistol grip with the stock in the way.

Two more very small things that I dislike about this gun is the grip and the sights/rail. The grip is slightly small for a shotgun and it has a weird little thing that sticks out and makes it a little hard to line up your fingers, I know its supposed to be there to help with that, but it kind of gets in the way. Also, if you are planning on using this shotgun for short range and long range you may want to consider buying a "reflex sight" for the top rail, as it is hard to look down the sights because it is so flat. You have to really press your face against the stock to get a good sight on your target. I bought the UTG Airsoft Quick Aim Electronic Dot Sight to solve this problem.

Other than that, this is an EXCELLENT gun, the stock is very sturdy, has great fps, hurts like hell (trust me I know), comes with the accessories I mentioned, adjustable hop up, gun sling, great mag capacity, plenty of rails. I was very pleased with my purchase, I hope you are too.
