Great Scope, February 11, 2010
This review is from: UTG 4X32 Extra Long Eye Relief TS Compact Scope with Picatinny Rings (Apparel)
I bought this scope and mounted it on an M-4 carbine (used a 1 inch UTG Deluxe See-Thru Riser Mount) and it works great. The long eye relief allows quick target acquisition and the picture is clear. I have not used, and probably won't, the illumination feature. I have not had the scope long enough to tell about zero retention and durability, but for people like me who don't shoot in cold, wet or foggy weather, this is a great little scope at an amazing price. This is what you need if you are an old near sighted guy who when using iron sights would either have to decide between seeing the target or the sights.

Great buy!, March 31, 2011

I purchased this scope to mount on my DPMS AR-15 Classic. The long eye relief was a major factor in why I made this choice. I had previously mounted another scope with around 3" of eye relief and had problems reaching the charging handle of the AR-15 under the scope's eyepiece. With the extended eye relief, this scope mounted a couple of inches forward of where the old scope was. This position keeps the scope out of the way of the charging handle and even allows flipping the iron sights without removing the scope. For my use, 4X is just the right amount of magnification and choosing this model over a zoom scope gives me better performance for a scope in this price range.
The scope comes packaged with the rings, flip-up covers, allen wrench, cleaning cloth, two batteries, and a laminated range-estimating chart for the Mil-Dot feature. While it's not a $300 Leupold, the view through the scope is decently bright. The illuminated recticle is a nifty feature, but I don't know if I'll actually use it much. For daylight use, you really won't even need to bother installing a battery. Overall, I'm very pleased with value of this purchase. You get a very usable scope for your dollar.

Good scope for the price, December 4, 2010
This review is from: UTG 4X32 Extra Long Eye Relief TS Compact Scope with Picatinny Rings (Apparel)
I have this scope mounted on my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22. I rings are low and not recommended for mounting to an AR style flat top. They are decent quality for use on a .22, I wouldn't use them with a higher caliber rifle. You will need high rings or a riser to be able to use the lens caps. The caps work but are not as nice as the Butler Creek flip up caps.
Using CCI standard velocity ammo and a bipod at 50 yards it's easy to get 2" groups. I have yet to test the scope on a bench rest.
The illuminated reticle helps when the sun starts to go down. The eye relief is nice and allows mounting ahead of your rear BUIS.
The scope comes with extra batteries for the illumination as well as a cleaning cloth.
I could nitpick little things like the quality of the threads on the turret caps or the clarity of the lenses. But for $60 it does exactly what I need it to do. A good scope for short to medium range plinking.
My big complaint is with the way it was packaged by Amazon. I ordered the scope with a UTG bipod. Both were in a box with just one of those inflatable bags inside. I'd expect more care to be taken when packing optics. Ideally there shouldn't be things banging around your scope in transit.
