Actually I purchased this with camping in mind not storming into criminal lairs :). I really like the snap and velcro closures. They make me feel that my stuff is secure. I was a little worried about the size as I'm a bigger guy 200lbs at 5'7" but there is a almost infinitely adjustable stretchy lace on both sides you can use to adjust the size.

I just received this vest about a week ago and havent had time to write a review so that is what I am doing now, hah. Anyway this is one of the best vests that I have purchaced; It is made of very durable material, I can tell I will have it for quite some time. All the pouches fit my gear quite well, aside for my radio which was a tad small, but it still fits with a little force. I really like the design of the velcro/button pouch fasteners, very handy when holding gear that dosnt fit all the way. It is easy to size the top strap on the pistol hoster with this ingenious plastic thing that comes with the vest. One downside is that the holster is a little small and holds medium to small size handguns, so I have to use my larger thigh holster for my Desert Eagle. But it fits my Glock and Berreta easily. Now reguarding the other pouches there are: Two rifle magazines, two handgun magazines, a radio, a misc. gear, a flashlight, and a baton pouch. Not to mention there is a fairly large zipper pouch on the back, good for all sorts of goodies. Also on the back there is a decent patch of velcro for any sort of ID things (Police, Team, Number, Etc). Another plus is that the shotgun shell loops are removable with a velcro backing, could put really anything velcro there too. All in all it is a great vest, and I recomend it to anyone looking for a combat vest at a decent price.

Been an LEO for 4 years now and wanted to carry a response vest in my patrol car. Read the reviews like everyone else and got mixed emotions about it. Don't know about the rest of you, but nothing pisses me off more than getting half way through a review just to find out it is by some 12 year old who bought the product for an airsoft match and thinks he is Rambo. Don't get me wrong, my department trains with high quality airsoft guns and they are very effective. Much more cost effective than simunitions. But I think there should be a disclaimer at the beginning of every review done by someone 16 or younger just to save me the trouble. Sorry, had to vent and now I will get back on track. For my purposes, this vest seems to work well. I was able to route my surveillance mike for my radio into the vest and stash some extra AR mags for a grab and go vest. The pistol holster on the vest is an irrelevant addition for me as I would not dare move my sidearm from my duty belt in a shooter situation just to have muscle memory take over and keep trying to draw from an empty waist holster if my AR went down. However it should serve well to secure a recovered weapon or a downed suspect's weapon. There are plenty of pockets for whatever you think you may need and even a pocket that looks to be for an expandable baton which is great since I don't carry mine on my duty belt. It's better off there than at home. I read in one review where someone said the vest was not adjustable. Not true, it is fully adjustable. There is a nice spot on the back for a police patch as well. One thing I have never understood is why you would put shotgun shell holders in an exposed location like that. Try running, crawling, and fighting someone then let me know how many of them bad boys are still there. Must be a LOOK thing.Read more ›

Good looking vest but does not work well for law enforcement officials. This has a right hand holster that is upright with a left handed thumb release so it's hard to release. Who makes a right handed holster with a thumb release that you cannot use your thumb to release? The handgun magazine pouches are on the left side for a right hand release instead of left so you cannot do a tactical reload. Imagine that in a gun fight!!!!!! I think this vest is just ok for play use not for serious tactical police application. The pistol magazines should be on the opposite side and the handgun holster should tilt (cant) for easy crossdraw. For tactical use, I wouldn't recommend. Spend more and get something that works well. It fits well though.

I've had this vest for over a year now. It's great, absolutely wonderful. Very intuitive to use. Fits comfortably for me (5ft 10, 150 lbs)and not too snug or loose with plenty of room for adjustments. I use mine for airsoft and all. I was even able to hand paint the Punisher logo on there, and it looks fantastic. Highly recommend!

I have had this vest for over a year; it works today like I got it yesterday!

All the holsters are very heavy duty, the velcro is so strong I don't button any of my stuff... :)

I'll agree with everybody else, the vest is abnormally adjustable. ;)You think it's to good to be true... I am 5'8 130lbs, the vest fits me perfectly. With the way it adjusts, it will fit *anybody*.

I purchased this vest for the purpose of air-soft wars... -Let me put this into context for you: It was raining like crazy, finally stopped... I went out in the woods to play some airsoft... This vest didn't have a stain, rip, wrinkle, or smudge on it afterwards... -I was running through the woods, this vest constantly was rubbing off tree branches, had water dripping on it, was being shot at with air-soft pellets, and was being used hard-chore in the woods... -Well today, my vest still has no signs that air-soft war happened. -The thing is tough. :)

In the picture, it doesn't show the back of the vest; on the back side, it has a long black velcro strip. If you are a LEO, or something along the lines of a local LEO, federal LE, etc. You can put a department unit or patch on the back. Also, there is a good size "zipper case" on the back of the vest as well... (Not sure if "zipper case" is a good name, but you get the idea.) -It will fit something like papers/maps, small binoculars, etc in it. I put my beanie hat and gloves in it. :)

K, so the side-arm holster.... (For your firearm). -Hah, yeah, don't use it. If you are LEO and use this for work, fine the vest itself is good for that. But at the very least, use the side-arm holster for a taser... It will take you 2 hands (2 hands to draw anything remotely quickly anyhow).
