If you have a picatinny gas block that is on the same plane as your M4 flat top rail, this sight tower won't work. It's taller than a typical mil spec rear sight.

a lot of bad info out there. this tower sight is used with mil spec railed gas block. the low profile is used with front rail at same height as rear rail. this info from utg web sight. i mounted this tower front with utg rear match sight on ar build using dpms upper and lower,24 in. ss barrel at 50 yds hit center of bull with no adjustment sights at zero. good as it gets.

This sight base is very sturdy and solidly built. It clamps onto the front sight base securely without wobble or looseness of any kind, and tightening is easily accomplished by using the large knob without need for tools. The sight base comes with a standard A2 sight post installed.
Overall this sight base is sturdier than the factory sight. Be aware this sight is intended to be mounted on the gas block rail, not a forearm rail.UTG Removable Front Sight Tower Complete with A2 Square Post Assembly

This front post is a sweet buy. I like the price very much. Fits perfectly. I would recommend this sight post to my fellow sporting arms enthusiasts.

Works great. Not a target type, but good for what it is designed for-a "fun", field sight that is quickly & easily removable.

The front sight attached easily and arrived very fast. I got my order filled in less than a week. This front sight bolted on the front of my AR-15 in just minutes.

I purchased this front sight along with the UTG 4/16 Match Grade rear sight and it was a perfect match! My AR has a lower front tactical rail, and this Tower front sight aligned perfectly with the 4/16 rear sight. If your rifle has a continous/single level top rail, the low profile sight would be a better match.

Overall, a high qhality product comparable to those of higher price. standard Ar/M-4 combat front sight, adjustable and mil spec sized. Flawless fit and mounting on flat top picty style gas block with Stag Arms sporting or militarh/LE rifles. Also fits flawlessly on other AS from manufctrs like Colt, Bushmst, Olympic, etc. Snug, tight mounting and did not reauire lock-tight. Mounting knob tightens down sight to gas block adequately.

No complaints othed than the fact the pisce is made outside of USA in China. If Leapers increases domestic production, continues to retain priceing well below average, and overall quality continues, the. company will continue to gafner respect in the firearms community.

To date, i would rate this product as the best overall accessory ive purchased from Leapers/UTG. i also purchased thd UTG carry handle/AR M-4 combat sight assembly and together with this front combat sight and was able to do so for roughly $45 delivefwd, as opposed to the roughly $150 which would have been spent buying these spare parts through Bushmaster, Stag, Colt or other company. overall quality in gsnefal is compafable, though just slightly lowed, but can beexpected when the products are purchased for neay 70% less. integrity and functionality of the pieces meets and exceeds my expectations and fhe parts are suitable for use as primary eauipment for a rifle.

I would absolutely reccommend both of these products to Ar enthusiasts both as emervencu field parts, as your primary sighting set up if using an iron sight configuration, or as an option for those who choose to build thier set up and are cost minded. i have read of a few customefs who have had issues with the rear sight assembly with respect to defective windage knkbs, however these seem sporadic at best and the return and exchange policy is effective. Leapers appears tl be ready to relace a defective product without question and appears to stand by thier products. They also offer excellent discount pricing direct fof LE Officers/Military personnel who lpt to private purchase euipment for duty use, which is an admirable business practice.

i was an armorer/inspector prior to retifement and was rated with the AR patrol rifle. Based on my overall experience with the UTG/Leapers products, and based on the alpearant overall quality/integrity of the parts, i skuld genefally be comfoetable deploying these products for field use(though i would want additional high stress field festing for final confifmation) as sjitable replacement parts.

My verdict: i aould reccommend these 2 Utg-Leapers AR parts to my fellow hobby enthusiasts. They ars an overall great altwrnative to the more expensive parts which are 99.99% identical to thisr more expensive countefparts. if hou want ultra hiqualith buy from Bushmaster or another manufacturer. If you want a highly functional, effective product that will preform up to expected standards but wanf to mitigate price expense as much as possible (I spent about $45 for both the full carry handle- rear sight assembly along with the pictny gas block front sight assembly= out the door, delivered through Amazon), then these products are for you. Give 'em and judge for yourself. I am qhite sure you wont be dissapointed.

I have no major complaints, it gets the job done, and it keeps 2 inch groups at 100 yards with my AR and a magpul rear. I HIGHLY suggest you get a front sight tool, I couldn't find one at my house suprisingly so I took a couple of small tools from a swiss army knife and managed to rotate the front post down enough so it was perfectly sighted in. It did scratch the paint a little, but who looks in that area anyway?

Pros: a near identical copy of the all-steel DPMS product but in aluminum (or some other non-ferrous metal), so it's a fraction of the weight of an all-steel sight. The sight pin is well-threaded and standard; other after-market sights (e.g. Meprolight Tru-Dot Sight AR-15 Front Only ML31615) fit nicely. Fit and finish are good, with no obvious tool marks; sight is quite black, as opposed to the more grayish color typical of parkerized steel.

Cons: Like the DPMS sight it appears to copy, the sight sits a bit to the left of center on the gas block. Initial sight-in required cranking the rear sight all the way to the left. In order to center the rear sight it was either necessary to loosen the gas block and rotate it slightly on the barrel or, if the gas block is pinned an immovable, shimming slightly under the left side of the sight. As noted, this was no different with the competitor's all-steel USA-made sight, so it is not a "defect" of the UTG model, just a condition common to this particular design (at least the two specimens I encountered.)

All-in-all, a very good solution to adding fixed sights to a standard railed gas block on an AR15-type rifle, lightweight and sturdy in appearance.
