This is a nice piece, and I've come to expect nice products from UTG. Unfortunately, the description says this will attach to the UTG High Profile SKS receiver cover, but the UTG Generation 3 High Profile SKS receiver cover is not one of the items it fits.

Which is a shame, as that piece is also very nice.

Needed some ajusting before it would fit on the "UTG New Gen SKS Picatinny Tri-Rail Mount" that I also purchased. It looks good, low price and very fast shipping.

Only problem is the deflector plate doesn't deflect all the shells away from my scope. Maybe it's just my set up but I think the deflector could extend alittle farther across the bolt

Product arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The see-thru scope mount receiver cover I bought was not actually intended to have the shell deflector even thought both are UTG. I bought the see-thru scope mount part not knowing this and solely based on the customer reviews. Other scope mount receiver covers had picatinny rails and are intended for the shell deflector, but have poor customer ratings due to difficulty with installation. My receiver cover installed in about 5 seconds. I simply made a mold and glued it to the reciever cover. I then filled the mold with JB Weld and imbedded some bolts/studs. Once dry the shell deflector went right on and now I use washers and nuts to bolt it on. I would argue that my shell deflector mounts lower than if I had bought the receiver cover with picatinny rails; allowing me to install a larger objective scope. Most people reported only being able to intall a 32mm objective scope. I have a 3-9X40 on mine. I you find a shorter "tactical" or "compact" type scope that you like, then you may not need the shell deflector. I went through a few and didn't like any of them so I went with a 3-9X40 that I already had as a spare. Good luck. The shell deflector is really well made and looks cool to me.

What they don't mention is that in order to mount this deflector on your SKS, you have to also purchase the UTG tri-rail receiver cover. Aside from that, the deflector works great. In fact, this is a must if you reload. The brass casings don't fly very far at all with this baby on.

I ordered this shell deflector to fit on the UTG tri rail mount bolt cover. You would think the two pieces would match great being they are both made by the same company. Well mine didn't. The deflector had to be completely ground down along the side that bolts to the tri mount in order to even be attached. It also had to be bent up in order for the bolt to operate without the deflector interfering with the bolt.

Looks cool, and nice security knowing you have a shell deflector, fits the utg rail great. I took it training with me on my heavily modded sks and overnight the metal seemed to oxidize and rust on the deflector. two other things I dont like is when we did our blank ammo force on force, which I have no adapter for and have to work the bolt after every shot, it would rack against my knuckles and you also prevent the use of stripper clips with it installed as well.

as long as its installed on the tri rail correct it does its job perfectly. i have seen some pics of other sks with it installed incorrect and those are also the people that complain about it. lil common sense will get you a long way.

put this on the UTG New Gen Picatinny tri rail mount and after filing the bolt holes to open up a little to fit it works flawlessly. brass ejects directly to the right without hitting my scope. would have gotten five stars if i didnt have to modify it by filing, but other than that i love, oh and did i mention it looks great?

This deflector in no way fit the receiver for my Norinco SKS. I had to virtually rework the whole thing for it to work; holes didn't line up, metal too thick to slide into the receive slot. Plus, the width of the deflector is much too narrow to deflect shells from a wide lens like a 50mm. I finally got it on and then I noticed I had a bunch of scar deflector marks on my brand-new Simmons scope! This is not meant for what it is sold as. I'm a fan of UTG products overall, but this isn't worth it and caused me to have damage to my lens to boot.

i bought this because i was tac'ing out my sks and i wanted to be high speed so i bought this. i didnt know that this isnt compatible with my UTG generation 3 high profile sks receiver cover. in the end it didnt matter cuz i just ended up put my leapers scope far back enough on the rail that i didnt have to worry about brass hitting my scope and i cud still load 10 round stripper clips.
