I don't know what all the negative reviews were about (misdrilled holes? okkkkk...) This mount is great for adding picatinny accessories to your Ruger 10/22. My only complaint is the see through capability is a little skewed..Sure you can see the top of your rear site and the entire front site, but I couldn't hit a damn thing with it. Other than that, I love the mount and my red dot site works perfect now.

Counter sink holes miss drilled,

Received this and noticed that although the holes were drilled correctly the counter sink for the screw heads were off so that you could not tighten down the screws. Pretty useless but not worth the cost to send back. Good thing I had a drill press and a 1/4" end mill, fixed it but looks ugly. Would not recommend.

I was initially skeptical of the accuracy of this rail after reading a few other reviews, but I have to say, I installed this on my Ruger 10/22 yesterday and it fit perfectly. The holes were precisely aligned and it only took about 3 minutes to install. Nice rail and aluminum too.

Excellent Picatinny rail for my 10/22.,

I got this to allow for mounting various scopes and sighting contraptions on my modified Ruger 10/22 rifle. I became frustrated with other rails that either didn't provide enough mount points or were not accurate (by design) between front and back rings.
The two other rail types I have used both had only two mount slots, one in back and one in front. One rail was a one-piece like this Picatinny rail but had only the two slots. I needed more slots to choose from so I could mount the scopes forward enough to fit my needs. The other rail was actually a two-part rail, again with only one slot per piece (front and rear), causing much the same problem. In addition, this two-part rail system was inherently inaccurate. Either end could easily be setup out of true, causing sighting-in problems as well as consistency problems when removing and reattaching sights. Then I learned of the Picatinny spec used by the military forces around the world, found and bought this product, and have been extremely happy since. Since it's a one-piece, once it's on, it never moves, providing much better consistency when switching between different sighting items. For instance, I may want to use a normal scope one day for target practice but then switch to a red-dot sight later in the evening for twilight varmint hunting. This rail allows for as consistent a mounting system as I need - it's not perfect but within 1/2" at 100 yards. Plenty good enough for me. I'm thinking about mounting a couple of more on the forend of my stock for tactical toys like a flashlight/laser combo for quick night time sighting - the raccoons are getting annoying out here on the farm! Great little product.

I read the reviews that said I could use ironsights with this product, I dont see how, I mounted it and was not able to see the front sight on my Ruger 10/22.
It is however a quality product and mounted perfectly for my red dot sight..Overall a good product.

It fit fine on my 10-22, with all four screws fitting. I actually ended up using the screws that came with the Ruger scope mount since those seemed lower-profile. Fit and finish seems fine for what you're paying for. Much better than the scope 'rail' that Ruger includes with the rifle. The UTG rail allows a very wide range of mounting choices, and you can actually see the iron sights through the channel unlike the stock Ruger scope rail.

a picatinny rail for $7.50? this one is a HIT,

i was skeptical at first, that the utg rail wouldnt bolt-on properly to my 10/22, because other reviewers spoke of one or two holes not aligning properly, preventing the installation of all (4) screws. for me, this was not the case. all 4 screws are fully seated, although the most forward screw was a tiny bit tighter that the other 3. but like i said, my '97 model accepted all 4 screws. the other thing to point out about this rail is the height. before switching to the utg rail, i had a rail that only had two slots, one towards the front and one towards the rear. well this utg rail is approx. 1/8" higher than the old rail. this could come in handy if you have scope clearance issues, and cant find taller scope rings to raise your optics up. this rail will raise your scope up approx. 1/8" compared to a standard rail. the finish is a durable matt black, which i believe is annodized, but it feels like it might be powdercoated. my burris "weaver zee" scope rings were tough to install over the rail because the rings had very small knicks in the clamping area, so i cleaned the rings up carefully with a fine file, wiped 'em clean, and they fit perfectly. like i said, this item is a hit, not a miss. the 'NCstar flash hider' is a miss, cause it is too loose around the barrel. i have bought several items for my 10/22 through amazon.com, so check out my other reviews. and as always, check out nutnfancy on youtube. he has alot of information on the 10/22, and if you are like me, you can use all the information you can get. TNP has helped me, so mabey it can help you.

Love this thing,

I Love this rail. The hole placement makes it fit on just about anything, and just about any optic fits on it. I'm ordering more of these.

This mount works great. Just make sure to put some blue Lok-tite on the screws or they will loosen quickly.
