Format: DVD
The information or lack of it totally misrepresented this product. Neither in the Amazon information nor even on the sleeve of the DVD did it say that this was all the work of an obscure Australian Filmmaker - one Julian Dahl and no one else.
I bought this because it gave the impression that it was either a compilation or short films by Maya Deren and Stan Brakhage or some forgotten film with these famous avant garde notaries as actors or at worst a documentary about them by someone else. it was sadly neither of these.
I find these films by Julian Dahl totally abysmal and without merit or originality though they may be to other peoples taste - particularly younger viewers.
But what I find totally dishonest was the way this DVD was packaged as something it was not. It was exactly as if was an unknown person with a CD of their own mediocre songs and without mentioning their own name gave the impression that they were selling some obscure bootleg of Bob Dylan - so that all the Bob Dylan obsessives would buy it as such - only to be bitterly disappointed.

There was absolutely no story or context to any of the films and the result was a mish-mash of material where you never know where you are at or where you are going.
As the other reviewer notes, experimental films are a tough nut to crack to start with. This sort of disjointed material makes it impossible.
Some of the camera work was creative and even the editing showed some style. Yet the final product as a whole left nothing to grab on to and no point was made, if there was one.
