I first listen to this album when I was in Brazil. It opened new horizons for me. Its textures, harmonies, rhythms, acoustics were all new. Since then (1992) I have collected all albums from this group and I have never disappointed. It's a must for music lovers like me.

This cd is is worthwhile having just for the pictures of the instruments which the musicians have created to play the music on! PVC tubes, glass marimbas and wooden boxes strung with latex bands are played by trained musicians who can take the notes a few steps further than you expect and in doing so create wonderful sounds.
